February 14, 201115 yr Steve, are you sure the program works with non-english OS's?It is not working for me (portuguese OS) and a brazilian friend of mine as the same problem. Maybe it's the comma and dot issue with decimal separators?First try FSX loaded ok but i couldn't start the plane. Tried 2 different flights with 2 different planes. Now FSX doesn't even load (even if i start it with IF closed...)Waiting for your reply before i uninstall IF to verify if FSX starts up again.Regards. We are "assimilating" addons right now...Second, It's supposed to convert the numbers/dates properly, so something has crept in to stop that. I will switch language and play.Third. At what point does it do it?Many thanks; Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 14, 201115 yr First time i used an addon plane and addon scenery. FSX loaded but i could not rotate the ignition switch to start the plane. CTRL+E didn't work either.Second time i tried with a default Cessna but FSX didn't load anymore. It shows the bar loading to 100% (but it loads very fast) and just opens a small black window, FSX does not open.I saw that an Ideal Flight entrance was added to the FSX addon menu, but i can't see anything new on my dll.xml or modules folder. If you have Skype maybe it's better and faster to try and solve this talking instead of posting here.Thanks. February 14, 201115 yr Commercial Member The only thing IF does to FSX is add an html redirector in FSX\idealflight so the kneeboard can find the briefing. It's just a text file. There are no dlls.IF runs FSX from the command line and the command line has the .FLT added as a parameter and FSX loads that file.If the system is not in english and a floating point bug has crept in, I would uninstall IF and then switch to english install again and have a play like that.I would first use a default plane and airport.Let me know how that goesSteve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 14, 201115 yr Commercial Member It would help if you could state the addon plane you used and at what point the floating-point error comes up :-)Many thanks;Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 14, 201115 yr It would help if you could state the addon plane you used and at what point the floating-point error comes up :-)Many thanks;SteveI was using the Carenado Cessna 182 RG II. As i said before, first time it looked ok but i could not start the plane (ignition switch didn't work, neither did the shortcut CTRL+E). Then i closed FSX and IF, opened IF again and tried with the default Cessna, but FSX did not open anymore. Now i uninstalled IF, but FSX still didn't open. So i searched and found 3 IF files (IFlight.flt, IFlight.htm and IFlight.pln) still on the FSX flightplan folder even after uninstalling IF. I deleted those 3 files and now FSX opens again, but doesn't start on the Free Flight menu as before installing IF. It goes directly to my default flight. How do i make it start in the Free Flight menu? Thanks. February 14, 201115 yr Ok, i fixed it by changing SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0 to SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1 on fsx.cfg.Guess i'm not going to install IF for now until someone says it works ok with non-english OS's. Can't afford to lose my FSX installation. Thanks and best regards. February 14, 201115 yr Commercial Member Will I run into the fp error you foound right away when I switch languages? The fp error in the .FLT crashes FSX, that’s good news. That may be what caused the error with the Cessna too, the Carenado’s should work OK, most have been tested and are good add-ons. There are two startup options in FSX. End the flight and go to the general settings page and set it to start in dialog mode, then it won’t load the default flight next time. Since it crashed, it did not update the fsx.cfg. You should be up and running at this stage, hows it look? Steve Ok, i fixed it by changing SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=0 to SHOW_OPENING_SCREEN=1 on fsx.cfg.Guess i'm not going to install IF for now until someone says it works ok with non-english OS's. February 14, 201115 yr Commercial Member Hi Alvega,What I am doing right now:Uninstaller: The flight files have been added to the uninstall procedure and will be deleted in future.Other language number/date formats: There are periods instead of commas in the weather report, that’s been fixed. I’m searching for more.Floating point error: I’ve not found that yet, at what point do you get that, can you tell me where you were located, and do you have addon scenery there? With this info I can cure those problems now for an update later. Many thanks Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 15, 201115 yr Steve,A feature request: This may have been mentioned or already in the works but the logbook can be a real pain to browse through once you have logged a lot of flights. It would work well it there were a list view that is sortable and with some overall general information (ie plane, data, dep - dest ....) and a link to view all the flight data. I could get a good overview of my flight and what I have done etc....Thanks,LW
February 15, 201115 yr Commercial Member Hello Luftwulf,Thanks, I've put that in the list. I've basically always wanted to add more stats and easier browsing but other stuff has taken priority. In the meantime, the extended profile .htm (orange figure button bottom center) has a selection of stats that may come in handy.Best regards;Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

February 15, 201115 yr Commercial Member Yeah looks retro! But then have you changed the size of the form yet in settings?LFPR Aerosoft scenery I will download it right now if you can tell me what it is...Thanks very much for helping, it's the only way IF will get done.Steve. Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 15, 201115 yr No, i haven't change the size of the form.LPFR is Aerosoft's Faro X scenery. It's payware and you can find it here.
