Just taken a flight in the PC12, love that when I start a flight at Valdez the Citation X is parked right next to me.. .. Nice feature .. .. probably doesn't help my frame rates, but I am reluctant to turn it off.....G
Hi G,Yes, anything else in the sim, especially planes, needs more cpu bandwidth. The thing about IF is you can turn down the FSX Ai and just have a couple of aircraft added where you need them.I'm really pleased you are having good fun with IF. More goodies and fixes to come shortly.Steve

Any way to generate the full briefing in larger font? I always have to mouse scroll zoom my browser to be able to read anything.
It's possible to generate two briefings, one larger for outside the sim to view in a real browser.I will look into that, it will add to the generation time slightly though. Thanks for great input; Steve.

Hi All,Did a flight from Tacoma Narrows KTIW to a little regional field in Canada. About 300 miles or so. Everything worked out well. My Briefing was good and she is now parked and fueled. Nice little app Steve.Bob

One enhancement (or refinement, more properly) I'd like to see is the ability to switch off IF-generated AI aircraft. I've got my traffic dialed-in already using Ultimate Traffic 2, and having more AI, especially when created from FPS-hungry add-on planes, isn't helping my performance. Steve, as far as I can tell there's no way to turn off the AI. Is that right? If so, please consider making it an option as you've done with the weather generation.thanks,Bill Womack

I just bought this--I'm curious, however, is there a "Real World Data" option for weather with this? Preferably one that updates? Or should I just shut off the weather system and use the FSX default?

Thanks for your support. You can turn off IF weather in the weather page and use FSX weather themes or online weather reports, REX, Active Sky etc.Best regards; Steve

HiIF generates it's own weather which you can select on IF's main screen (the cloud icon). It does not use real weather for the flight path thus no updates of course. I think if you look in this thread, Steve has described what their weather does and why. I have not spent much time with their weather and use ASE myself. RegardsBob

Thanks Bob,Ideal Flight hasn't implemented real world weather, although it could easily, but there are plenty around to do that. Instead IF simulates a global weather system, tuned to provide fun. It's got all the cycles, cold fronts, warm fronts highs, lows and so on. It was more of a challenge to do, but I put it in IF because I prefer it to online weather. :-)Best regards;Steve

Hi again Steve, thanks for answering my earlier post (#65) it helped a lot but now I have a new problem.A couple of days ago I installed MY TRAFFIC 2010(works great!) but now when I load a flight plan through IF10 and click the fly icon it will open FSX and load the parameters to 100% but then the game crashes,(fsx has encountered a problem and has to close.) No matter what settings I choose in IF10 the same thing always happens. Any ideas what could be causing the crashes? Thanks in advance Steve for any help on this. Terry

Hi Terry,It appears MY TRAFFIC 2010 may load it's configuration differently depending on how FSX starts. There won't be any settings in Ideal Flight to cause or cure such a problem. When you press the IF Fly button, it is the same as choosing a saved flight (.FLS .FSSAVE) and opening it with FSX.So you could try opening a .FLT with FSX by right clicking on the file and choose from the popup menu to open with FSX.Another thing you can try is to run FSX frst. Then when FSX is running, press the Fly button on Ideal Flight and the IF plan will be loaded then. Perhaps this way MY TRAFFIC 2010 will start better.Have a go at this and come back soon! Also check the MY TRAFFIC 2010 manual.Best regards; Steve.

Thanks Steve for the quick reply.I tried your suggestions but unfortunately I have the same problem, I would rather not have to temporarily disable MY TRAFFIC 2010 in order to use IF10 but will do so if it is the only possible solution. Please keep me informed for any possible fixes or workarounds. Thanks again Steve for all your help. Terry
