February 17, 201115 yr The more I use this software the more I appreciate the attention to detail! For example, the kneeboard is now crammed with useful flight information such as runway heading for departure or ILS info for arrival (no longer do I have to use the FS map window).I have also started fine tuning the flight parameters for my ATR to get an optimal fuel calculation, based on the way I fly (rate of ascent/descent etc).I don't use the extra AI function preferring to rely on MyTrafficX, nor do I use the built in weather preferring ASE, but there is so much useful stuff here, and I'm sure many others will find it hits the spot too. :)
February 17, 201115 yr Commercial Member Thanks for your kind comments.IF's certainly got *something for everyone! *Example: You can make sure your TrackIR (or anything) is automatically started when you load up FSX.I like fine tuning the parameters for getting the fuel just right, and hitting the ETA when you are close to best times, and treating the aircraft carefully, forgetting about weather and where to fly from/to.I also like to get around by flying rather than selecting different departure airports. Instead I fly there in an appropriate plane, then maybe select another for a different kind of flight. Why traffic and weather has been included:The optional traffic gives the ability to place a few planes (including any addon) you know will be around nearby to "intertact" with in addition to regular traffic. The optional weather saves being connected to the internet, and you set and forget, and always get interesting weather for the time of year you want.Even if you don't use the optional weather the thermal and ridge engine can still supplement other weather to great effect.IF will take a little time to understand because it is different and not what you expect.Take tuning the flight parameters; obtain a perfect list of values for the plane that you compute yourself from actually flying and it's done in very few flights! Thanks to everyone helping and testing, and thanks for all the great feedback.Regards; Steve. February 17, 201115 yr Commercial Member There's another problem going round. When not using IF at all, just FSX, with a muti-monitor setup; at some stage FSX goes to the task bar and will not reappear. Something takes over focus, drops FSX to the taskbar and whatever it was is unseen. This is a report I have from someone that uses IF. They have been testing without IF.I have a report back that suggests less problems are experienced in a multi-monitor FSX setup when all monitors are the same resolution. At least that has helped in one case...Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com

February 18, 201115 yr Guys, I can't see any "re-index" option on the right-click menu (vJR)?There seem to be only the normal menus listed. Also I have noticed on my PC when I choose "FS Main Menu" it now loads up the default FSX flight (which it didn't before) but bypasses the menu completely! :(
February 18, 201115 yr Me again. :( Just to be a double PITA I have found that the IF generated kneeboard briefing is reporting EGKK runway 26L as heading 257.70 degrees (why the fraction?), whereas the FS map window and the UK2000 Gatwick Scenery manual correctly report the heading as 260. The scenery was indexed by IF this morning, and I've had EGKK installed for a long time. Thanks again,David

Ref: Show opening screen - general settings.IF doesn't do anything, it's you closing with a sim running so FSX restarts that way. You can set a config.ini item to force this to menu of you like.See F1 for HelpThanks; Steve Steve Waite: Engineer at codelegend.com
February 20, 201115 yr Hi Steve, First I believe you have a great product with a lot of potental. So much that I purchased it yesterday.I have seem to run into an issue with picking a destination. Everything was working fine before but I decided to change my aircraft and departure airport. Now when I try to find a destination or choose one, it does not work. Any help would be great! Normally my load times zip on my Revodrive.

Normally my load times zip on my Revodrive.Hi,You have to compare like for like and you are waiting for the weather probably, and loading Ai planes. IF does nothing to your load time, it's not causing any suspicious activity.I would make some proper comparisons before making rash judgements.SteveHi Steve, First I believe you have a great product with a lot of potental. If so change the flight time so you are in range of a compatible airport. If your flight time is not inside 1/2 hour of the locations available there won't be any.
