X-Plane 10, End of the year ?

Featured Replies

And what's Flights track record? (And if you mean FS track record is better, then I guess your unbiased person isn't unbiased in believing so)ANY person concluding anything on ANY of those sims at this point is a joke!
any one not considering the past .. might also be thinking out of the wrong end. Xplane has never gotten the sales because it hasnt had a product that was better than MSFS ..... i own all the xplane and MSFS. so not concern which wins ... cause I will play either. However, history has shown that xplane never quite delivers on its promise.

The main reason FS is bigger is because they have a much bigger add-on industry. So it has been kind of a catch 22 for XP, the users go where all the add-ons are and the add-onmakers go where all the users (market) are. This is what makes the coming year interesting. FS is dead, XP is coming with a major upgrade,add-ons makers have started to jump ship, and Flight no-one really knows what will be. Atleastnot from an add-on maker point of view.

In a way you right FS has a major community because of a lot of add ons and FS being more jazzy. Hopefully Xplane 10 will be a big bang for all simmers , as even flight is being launched some time next year.

Its not a catch 22 ..... if xp was the better sim .. MSFS'ers would be playing xplane. We all have a copy of both.

Hang on....so you're saying if X Plane was better, more people would be flying in X Plane? Since more people fly FSX, that must mean FSX is better?-sigh-Talking%20Ear%20Off.gifYou say you're into photography (in your profile). So am I. Which Camera is better? Nikon or Canon? I can find an argument for both.Which lens is better? The normal lens that you get with the camera or a nice L glass (I'm a Canon user and Canon uses L Glass). More people use the stock lens, yet we all know L glass is better (And more expensive).Which OS do you use? Windows or Mac? It's a well known fact Mac is better. Yet more people in the world use Windows. Is a 64 bit CPU better than a 32 bit? Of course it is. Yet more people use 32 bit. -next-
We all have a copy of both.
Yea...right..rolleyes.gifBy June 1999 FS had sold about 21 million copy's according to Guinness Book of Records.X-Planes website says "over 750.000 copy's have been sold" over the years from 1993. About time you start basing some of your statements on facts. XP is microscopic compared to FS. M

sorry that your critical thinking failed you ... I am talking about flight sim enthusiast ... only about 50,000 or so folks. Aside: facts?? you told me that avsim had a policy of signing your name to posts and that I was in violation .... facts???

This has been discussed before, and you are correct, AVSIM has no such policy of signing your name to posts. Only the PMDG forums have this policy, and AVSIM seems to take a hands off approach on it. (One of my pet peeves for internet security reasons.)

Thanks

That was me that said that. And it has already been corrected by an avsim admin that only PMDG posts need to be signed with real names. And as said above, I also have an issue about it and it raises many questions as to why this is in effect. In saying that, I don't have a problem signing my name to my posts. Obviously, you do. Tells me quite a bit about you along with your other vague statements.

not signing my name tells you what about me?

Does it really matter?I know enough already, regardless if you sign your name or not. And stop wasting your time in a forum that doesn't interest you. Find something else to do with your time. Go fly the new add on that has a list of bugs that's as long as both my arms.Back on topic.
