PMDG 737 Release Soon

Featured Replies

Just a heads up as I didn't see it posted here in this forum but it appears the PMDG 737 will finally be released very, very soon. I'm thinking this month as the development team is just tidying up things a bit. You can read more about it over at the PMDG Forum here on AVSIM. I'm personally looking forward to another PMDG aircraft in my hangar and glad I recently upgraded my system to handle it. Best regards,Jim

It's not even in BETA yet first of all, second; they could find SEVERAL problem with it in BETA, different hardware, different FSX set-ups, different OS's etc etc. I've BETA tested "advanced" planes for FS9 and I can tell you that ANYTHING can happen, they could have zero problems or they could be working on it for a few more months. It will be out, doubt it will be this month, though I hope so as do you, Im sure but don't jump to conclusions.cheers

They seem to be confident that due to their post development activities this particular Beta period will be fairly short. We shall see.Regards.Ernie.

PMDG say that this release is being held much closer "to their chests" then prior release. Don't be surprised if they're doing something like MS with beta testers, where nda's keep everything quiet until post-release.That said, I'm not expecting anything in the next few weeks, but I could always be pleasantly surprised :)Thanks, Bruce.

Once again... (not sure how many times I have to say this to get people to stop saying we're doing a stealth beta etc) - we will announce beta testing before release. There will be no stealth release.

They are getting close to a 1st BETA, anything else is just a guessing game. I will take a guess, I guess that it will be released in 2 months....that's just a guess, no supporting evidence whatsoever, whats your guess?

Ryan, whisper it sweetly into my ear one more time again, please. :( All I wonder is how your team feels about all of the attention? I haven't seen another FSX product so highly anticipated before.

I haven't seen that much stress on teasing people (and therefore relying on viral marketing) before, so this may come as a chain of cause and effect. :wink:Must admit, I'm more a fan of progress reports when actual progress was made and silence in between since this usually doesn't lead to upset forum guys, expressing overwhelming emotions towards a screenshot or the announcement that an announcement will soon be made.I, in soon 2010, even scrolled through the PMDG forums for details on this and that regarding the NGX, but after 20 pages of single line comments about the mentioned announcement of an announcement, I got tired and didn't recover so far. :( Been using other products, including e. g. the MD11 in between. Nice tip, huh?So the very good thinking of "get positively surprised when it arrives and stay patient in between" seems to be a nice and stress free policy there. The arguing and guesswork regarding the release date (or the various assumptions towards a beta phase) in this thread alone just speak for themselves I think.Since this thread represents the general rule while some silent patience would be the exception, I apologize for stating my viewpoint. Big%20Grin.gifI think that the next big emo eruption can be timed at the release of the iFly 737 for FSX. Any doubts?

I think it is probably worth locking this thread, before it descends in to another argument (because of all the speculation etc) and takes up more valuable storage space on the servers.Tom

Why not read some useful tips and tricks - http://forum.avsim.n...22#entry1965722

PMDG announced that it would be released 'soon' 4 months ago, but then again they announced that it would be released mid 2010 before that and then 2010... of course all dates were estimates. I'm not getting worked up on imaginary release dates anymore, for me it will get released when it gets released. Dont get me wrong, I'm looking forward to it just as much as anybody else, its just that I'm getting tired of the hype train

I will be very interested when it does finally come if MS Flight is not here by then. Kind regards,

Don't stay away too far from home in your summer holidays, nothing more to say. :(

Mats Weinberger

How can you post a topic that says the NGX is being released "soon" when you have no concrete hard evidence whatsoever? All you're doing is creating more hype on an already over-saturated 'hype train.'
