You're right. It's unfair for me to judge a product that doesn't exist. I have no doubts CS will step up their game for the 777, they must! But I'm still going to wait for the professed PMDG Seven Seven Seven - a Seven Seven Two El Are I hope.

Tracon, your last statement is one I (personally) would expect from a open minded guy. Now, without using it somehow ironically, you're truly welcome and you can expect me looking forward to both 777 approaches of course.Personal preference will always make the last important point and I don't question anybody being in doubt about this or that dev, he just has to be wise enough to accept that other preferences do and should exist. Some guys fail there and you did not, so that's perfectly ok.Saw your post on the Katana thread too. Maybe that's a thing for you, to fill in the waiting time then. And for the CS 777. I'm really impressed by the optics so far, can't wait to get some systems in there.

The solution is easy, CS should start spending more money on gauge programming and testing with real pilots. Anything to get their planes more realistic and functioning properly. Then we will all stop complaining.

Honestly I'm being too fussy. I got addicted to Captain Sim with their BRILLIANT FS9 C130 model and flew it religiously. Their systems have always been lacking but still better than a lot of developers, and their textures have always been some of the best, though, perhaps a bit too photoreal for some - definitely a far cry from RealAir.I need more details from CS about it, but if the price is right and they incorporate proper NAVDATA for the FMC, and their VNAV/LNAV work without crashing me into the runway 5 miles out I'll get it to hold me over until PMDG does theirs.Someone above said something about investing more in gauge and system fidelity and I agree. Their 3D modeler is doing just fine.I am open-minded, though my opinions can be overly voiced.

This just popped up in my sub box, didn't even know this was in development.
1. If Captain Sim can convince people to buy a only 3D model for US $17.50 when POSKY is giving away the same thing (+ 3D cockpit) for free then its pure genius. YOU DE MAN! 2. If you're waiting for a PMDG 777, I'm willing to bet that you'd die of old age and Boeing will retire the 777 long before its released. As a matter of fact if you look at it this way...it is taking almost as long to build the REAL 787 as it is for PMDG to build the virtual 737NGX - you gotta love it (my friends and I have wagered which will actually fly first...I bet on the 787! So when people say, "oh the PMDG 777 will be better, blah, blah, blah." Yeah, flying cars will be better than the ones we have now, but we'll all be dead long before we'll ever flying car - or a PMDG 777.So, yeah, if you're into deploying emergency slides, opening and closing the engine nacelles, viewing photorealitic passengers in the windows and taking to the skies in the default 747-400 cockpit then the price of admission is $17.50US. Nothing wrong with that. It's not like I'm laughing hysterically or anything like that....

A clear statement, this time from Mr. Mike T who is stating 1) that the freeware POSKY is the same as the payware from CS and 2) all people liking and buying it therefore must be out of their minds. Accept these facts or .. I don't know, stay open minded and question guys telling us such a sort of "truth" without anyone ever asking for it.Thanks for showing what I was talking about when mentioning 'open minded and tolerant' and the opposite. :( I'm really sure that you are laughing there, seems like the best thing to do in that situation of yours.Didn't we speak some time ago, Mike? You were that 'I'm so darn real' sim pilot, laughing about all others who don't take their preflight checks so serious as you do? Seems like you've matured, somehow, I guess. There always will be guys out there which like to buy near perfect optics at low prices while staying lite or even wrong on the systems. Is that a thing hard to accept for you? They accept you with that 'so darn real' attitude (in the sim!), so lets give them a bit of that tolerance back, huh? They are not less intelligent, honourable and good as you, trust me. :( No need to laugh about them, doesn't show your class.

What about a CS 767 panel in the CS 777? I tried it briefly after buying the product. I have not been able to get it working yet. I am not very knowledgeable about these things. I wonder if some one could get it to work. By the way the external model is really nice.

Good idea indeed. What about posting that over at the CS forums to collect some other guys supporting it?

I always enjoy unannounced suprises! Looking forward to the complete packages!

I hope everybody boycots posky, they continue to thumb their nose at virtual cockpit users. First we get a magnificent 757 with a beautiful vc for FS9, then the 767 comes out and soon the vc will be coming. Then it never shows. The 747 has never had one. And the 777 comes out and guess what? it has a great looking vc but they put this huge sun visor in and don't even give you a way of removing it! What a total screw you to any vc user.

And all that for free. Shame on them.

it is a good idea but I am running out of time. I have to start supper and then sit down to watch the playoffs. I am hoping Vancouver can finish off the Blackhawks tonight!EDIT: I posted over at the CaptainSim forums so now we will just have to wait and see.

Right on the point, bobby622! Although far away from any topic here, I fully agree to that sarcasm if I may.

Don't worry, some things are more important than the sim, even the playoffs. Big%20Grin.gif Keep that idea in your head and post that wish when you have time, nobody will get harmed.

What does that have to do with anything? They beg people to donateThey treat everyone horribly in their forums, and can't even release a proper product with basic features required of FSXThey thumb their nose at vc viewers, I have a right to speak my mind and give examples of my experiences, no? Because they release a product for free? What a poor attitude.
