Captain Sim 777?!

What does that have to do with anything? They beg people to donateThey treat everyone horribly in their forums, and can't even release a proper product with basic features required of FSXThey thumb their nose at vc viewers, I have a right to speak my mind and give examples of my experiences, no? Because they release a product for free? What a poor attitude.
Don't like it, don't buy it. Oh yeah, that's right, they are FREE. And when a product is free, complaining and asking for a boycott is ridiculous. I have looked into POSKY, and even thought their releases are free, I am not interested based on their features, so I leave them alone. Is that so difficult?

I will never buy another C/S product until they fix my 757,And how do they get away with using a Microsoft 747 cockpit, and charging money using M/S files?

You are right. I've even heard about a company selling 300+ Dollar manuals for a product which isn't there, not even partially, just to keep the spin going.
We've been very clear that the printed manuals are a luxury item for people who want them to study up on ahead of the release and that the pdf versions of these exact manuals are coming with the airplane at no extra charge. What "spin" are you referring to?

A clear statement, this time from Mr. Mike T who is stating 1) that the freeware POSKY is the same as the payware from CS and 2) all people liking and buying it therefore must be out of their minds. Accept these facts or .. I don't know, stay open minded and question guys telling us such a sort of "truth" without anyone ever asking for it.Thanks for showing what I was talking about when mentioning 'open minded and tolerant' and the opposite. :( I'm really sure that you are laughing there, seems like the best thing to do in that situation of yours.Didn't we speak some time ago, Mike? You were that 'I'm so darn real' sim pilot, laughing about all others who don't take their preflight checks so serious as you do? Seems like you've matured, somehow, I guess. There always will be guys out there which like to buy near perfect optics at low prices while staying lite or even wrong on the systems. Is that a thing hard to accept for you? They accept you with that 'so darn real' attitude (in the sim!), so lets give them a bit of that tolerance back, huh? They are not less intelligent, honourable and good as you, trust me. :( No need to laugh about them, doesn't show your class.
Oh my "CoolP"...just poking a little fun, its a game, no lives will be lost, families broken, world hunger resolved, cancer cured or bodies blown to bits and left to rot in the noon day sun...I promise! It's not that serious. Remember, if you can't laugh at yourself, someone else will laugh at you; or so the saying goes. Surely this hasn't gone from a light hearted forum to a nursing home for grumpy old men? Be "Cool", the sun will rise tomorrow even if you spend $17.50 on a 3D model.

Boy you got to love some of these Avsim threads sometimes! It's like a group of guys in the military who have been on deployment for too long, two people starting yacking at each other about something and then pretty soon everyone is yacking at everyone and there are 30 conversations going between 15 guys....

I really doubt that the answer will be within the thread limits, Ryan. Since that other commercial member remained silent since that answer, maybe he knowns something about it. If you still want to have my personal viewpoint on that 'spin' explained, fell free to write a PM.Glad you're reading this thread.Mr. T., turning your statements about your self proclaimed pro-ish wannabe pilot attitude with a clear lack of tolerance towards other people into a joke now makes me feel much better. I almost took them for real. :smile:Eric, you don't really contributed to any clear line in this thread. Hoping you are aware of this. So, ehm, what about the CS 777 now? I'm still impressed by the detail of the modelling. Just look into those windows and see ..I admit, just trying to give the thing at least some sort of focus now. Fingers crossed. :(
Eric, you don't really contributed to any clear line in this thread. Hoping you are aware of this.
Other than dithering on being a CS a really excited user for the whole thread opining to everyone that disagrees with their pricing/release practices, what have you done?

Eric

And, you must be right, those 10 Euro investment in the CS plane will hold back any of the PMDG fans from buying .. ehm, wait, logic fails now. Please go on explaining...
You think the PMDG 777 is going to be out before the full CS777 version ?All CS has to be is fairly good and first, they don't have to be as good or better. Most of the community does not wait for a product who's release is not imminent above all current like products.Maybe the hard core systems simulation crowd who refuse to buy anything less than the level PMDG puts out, butthey are the minority of the community. Most can live happily with a lot less than that level.Regards.Ernie.

Sort of cliché behaviour now, Eric. How come?As far as I can see, some trouble guys are trying to mix up the people which expected a thread about that new CS 777 here. I think that everyone around really got your point, you don't like CS planes at all, so that 'a really excited user' talk doesn't come as surprising as you may think. :(Now, if we can move on and enjoy your previous made statements (which really show some one class) together with my "a really excited user" talk and the one of some other guys, we would really add some value to this current part of the thread, don't you think?

Ernie (not Eric), apologies, but I think that we're talking cross-purposes now since you took a part of my sarcasm as no sarcasm. So maybe I took your initial post in the wrong way too. Lets start from the beginning. :blush:I really agree to your last statement. Once again, apologies. The thread still is about the CS 777 in general. Does anybody doubt that? Big%20Grin.gifphoenixphire, I saw that someone else already posted your idea of using the 767 VC in the current 777, so the CS devs are warned. Now watch those playoffs! :(

Its not 17 dollars usd its 13.96 ( USD ) currently I don't get whats the big deal with some people about buying just a model they were plenty of people who bought the fifty north 737 and that was only a model. and even with the current exchange rate the fifty north model still cost more and that came out years ago. I bought the cs777 its cool fun to look at, some people like to buy models of cars, because some admire the body and style the other for the engine transmission and horse power etc etc. to be honest I get sick and tired of people criticising others for wanting to just a model or a passenger cabin.

Not for now, but when the VC and cabin screenshots do come out sooner or later, I'll think twice.Dave.

Dead on Ernie, dead on. There is a large, and quite viable, sector of the MSFS add-on industry whose apparent strategy is just as you state: get something "kinda" good out while PMDG/LevelD/(and, maybe, QW*) take their time. In fact, if the big dawgs were shrewd, they'd invest in these "get it now" companies and get money on both sides of the equation. *-I highly regard your presence on the QW team and feel that you lend an air and quality of maturity to the group. I really think that QW can elevate into the hallowed halls of PMDG/LevelD over time.

Sorry, had to pick this one since somebody spoke about a really excited user lately. Big%20Grin.gif I'm hoping that the, now, religious act of starting a thread which does not include any hollowed products doesn't count as blasphemy then. If so, I must admit that I don't care much about that kind of religion since I've experienced all flight sim products as piece of software so far. Some coming with those flaws while others use another set, including some of the very "holy" ones too. Shocking, I know. But that religious aspect actually helps to understand why nobody around can start a thread without seeing at least two guys jumping in to state that their way is the only one to go while staying away from any useful information, as seen in this very thread.Hoping that you guys get back to "hobby only" status soon since reading some statements show very odd tendencies. How do you like the plane so far? Talking about the CS 777.

I can give you a brief reply. Like all of the Captainsim products I own (see signature below) the outside is very well modeled. One of Captainsism's strengths are their external model animations. There are lots of options on the extremal model which I really appreciate. I really think that when they finish the systems it will be comparable to the 767 and the 757 which both have merit. I think the airplane has promise. Part of the reason that I bought it was that the cost is spread out over the credit card in order to appease the wife. wink.gif The other is I am hoping for a temp panel merge (of sorts) that would allow the use of the 767 panel until they release the pro version. I posted in the captainsim forum and one of the gentlemen there has been kind enough to have a crack at it. Since there is no other 777 that will come close systems wise, I am looking forward to this airplane.
