It's great fun to embrace the total crapness of Eurovision, but sadly it has now sort of become the Baltic Song Contest what with all of those former Soviet Union countries voting for one another. Still, my wife, friends and I always make a point of voting for the most crap song in the contest, which this year it was agreed was Moldova by a country mile, so we all fired in tons of votes for that one. Glad Iceland didn't get many votes with their flagrant attempt at a sob story vote winner. Slovenia's entry was the best song by a long way, good performance too.Another entertaining one you can do, is decide which model of Barbie or Ken the various nation's vote result announcers would be marketed as. We came up with several good ones this year, including Pikey Barbie, Anchorman Ken, Undead Ken, Botox Barbie and Inflatable Doll Barbie.Al

Agree with Alan. Eurovision has become quite the joke. I mean, it's nice to have a Pan-European song contest and all, but the voting is so ridiculously biased and predictable that the results are almost meaningless. Not to mention the totally generic Europop acts that dominate the contest lately (with a few exceptions).I'll concede that the winning entry is actually decent, but incredibly bland. Italy was okay. Moldova and Ireland share the freak show award. Switzerland was quite the hottie and Russia had the most goofy dancers. Great fun! Congratulations to Aizerbaijan. Having the contest in Baku next year should be interesting. I think it's the first time ever that an Islamic country will host the competition and the Caucasus isn't exactly the most stable region...

And now my kids want to go to a Jedward concert, just typical...

I'd rather just drown the kids and do the time. A two hour Jedward concert would feel like a life sentence anyway.

If I lived in Europe, I would have liked to maybe vote for Lena Meyer as she's a bit of a chickybabe, but her song this year was terribly boring. I thought Bosnia was pretty cool.Cheers,Rudy

Stupid American Idol in the US just kicked off easily the best remaining singer the other night... he was a big rock & metal guy and of course they can't allow someone like that to win. Of course though he'll go on to be the only one from this season that actually gets big - just like Chris Daughtry from a few seasons ago.

Agreed. Chris Daughtry has done the best out of those in his season and probably in the top three out of all the contestants. My parents still watch it, and I laugh at them. TV has really started to suck. I used to watch the office, but it became very repetitive. They didn't even let it die with Carell...I even watched trailer park boys from Canada and that became very repetitive. At this point tv sucks. And hopefully movies don't get as bad. Some of them, surprisingly, are still very good to watch.

Complete nightmare? Trapped in a airplane on a 10 hours flight, and all your fellow passengers are artist from the Eurovision contest...However..., I'm from the Netherlands and we were not in the final for 7 years. I might be prejudged.

Whenever the Eurovision is on I start thinking of Father Ted singing ‘my lovely horse’ lol If you haven’t seen it you should google it :)
