May 22, 201115 yr Commercial Member PS: Have they updated the firmwire drivers etc?Is there a problem requiring it? Never had any issues with mine and not touched the firmware. I have #01188.Regarding pots - they are all rubbish and will wear eventually, causing big problems. I know there was a major issue with the early G940s causing throttle issues almost immediately. For the money, go Warthog - the difference in quality and technology greatly out-weighs the slightly higher cost.Best regards,Robin.
May 23, 201115 yr Author Can anyone recommand a 737 MCP with a fair prics for me? Some many on the market are too expensive in my opinion...Frank Cao Z. C
May 26, 201115 yr Hi I use both a yoke and a stick:Yoke: Saitek (I've had this for a few years now and it still works well)Stick: Logitech Extreme (very smooth and incredibly convenient)I would get a good stick with rudder pedals if I were you.Cheers,David DD David

Some many on the market are too expensive in my opinion...Frank CaoI use the CPFlight EL series MCP and Dual EFIS in my Flightdeck Solutions Cockpit. Works great. Cheaper that the Pro series, though you lose dual concentric rotories and don't have the magnetically held on position of the autothrottle switch. The EL Series Models the Rockwell Collins MCP (Early NGX), the Pro Series Models the Honeywell (Later NGX) John Skibo
December 22, 201114 yr Have you guys had trouble with the Warthog throttle at all in FSX? RSR got a Warthog the other week and he tells me that he can't get the throttle axis to work right in FSX - it's always limiting it to something like 42-97% instead of 0-100 like it should be. It works fine in DCS A-10C. I saw similar reports on some of the combat simming sites too.I _may_ be having this issue with my Warthog. I will post more after further testing. Possibly will need to revisit the T.A.R.G.E.T. software to config the throttles correctly for FSX. I don't think FSUIPC is accurate enough.Cheers.Is there a problem requiring it? December 22, 201114 yr Author I love my new Saitek Yoke system, after 4 years of Saitek EVO expeience. Z. C
December 22, 201114 yr I have not had any trouble with the throttle axis at all in FSX, and I must say the Warthog throttle is the best feeling throttle I've ever used. While I don't know how exactly does the throttle of a real jet aircraft feel like, I'd say this is about as close as you can get right now (if you don't count the $1000+ units). The only problem I've had with the Warthog is the throttle's microstick/mouse axis, which is erratic and unusable. This does not really matter to me though as I don't really need it for anything. For what it's worth, I have all the null zones set to 0 for the throttle and maximum sensitivity. It might also be useful to try to calibrate it through FSUIPC.I fly the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog, with the Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals. I also use LINDA to pre-program many of the more common actions within FSX to run off the Warthog in lieu of trying to mouse click. Overall I'm very satisfied with the Warthog- only one problem, I can't seem to get it to maintain airspeed after TOGA and tends to stall a lot about 500 feet over the runway! I wonder if I have some kind of corrupt file ?? If the plane has enough juice to get airborne with 5 degrees of flaps, I'm at a total loss why the airspeed falls off so radically and why it has such a miserable climb rate. Even going into the FMC pre-flight and setting max climb 340knots! If someone could tip me on this, wowza I'd be thrilled. Flying onlly the PMDG 737NGX. 800 usually with the 27k Bump! R.
