what controller do you use?

I also use one of these. Unfortunately it dropped on the floor after an occasion of foot tangling in the cord, so I've had to superglue it. Still works well though!Cheers,Rudy
I've had to recenter mine because the metal springs wore through the plastic anchor points!

Saitek yoke, Saitek pedals, and two Saitek throttle quadrants. These replaced the CH yoke, X52 throttle, and CH pedals I had been using. After using CH products for several years and then using Saitek products for one week, the difference was immediately noticeable.CH stuff feels like lightweight, cheap plastic children's toys.My new Saitek gear is heavy, solid-feeling with heavy duty industrial grade plastic and metal, and a metal axel that the yoke handle sits on.The CH yoke in comparison is a cheap plastic tube that sticks out the back of the yoke, and the tube isn't even capped, it's hollow. Very cheap feeling.I'm glad I went Saitek. I'll never buy a CH product again.

Thrustmaster Warthog, with gas/brake pedals from my logitech g25 for now, getting the saitek combat pedal soon(ish) :)
TM Warthog Hotas i got for the DCS a10-c works very well in the civilian world =) but its a bit spensive
Have you guys had trouble with the Warthog throttle at all in FSX? RSR got a Warthog the other week and he tells me that he can't get the throttle axis to work right in FSX - it's always limiting it to something like 42-97% instead of 0-100 like it should be. It works fine in DCS A-10C. I saw similar reports on some of the combat simming sites too.

Nothing special....just a bit on the expensive side, but well worth the investment.precision Flight Controls:Jet column yokeCirrus pedals - modded with dual springs for stiffer rudder movementThrottle quadrant, very versatile as well. i have the 4 throttle quad which has some flexibility for assignmentsOn my test bed machine - for beta testing I use CH Products - have had them almost 8 years and still serving me well.Eclipse yokeCh rudder pedalsCH throttle quadrant
Got the same PFC stuff as you....good stuff. Have had it since 2003!

Been using the Saitek X52pro for several years and never had a problem. I'd like to get a yoke-pedals-throttle combo in order to make things more realistic (Boeing is not Airbus) but have not yet decided whether to get the CH Eclipse or the Saitek...

I hate gravity!

I own the Saitek X52 (mostly for jetfighter sims and some arma 2), I like it a lot. For FSX I use the CH Yoke, the X52 Throttle and CH Pedals. I've owned the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke as well but was terribly disappointed with it, felt very strange and unrealistic with that hard notch in the center of pitch and roll. The CH has its problems too, but those I can live with :) Saitek seems to like notches for everything they do, a little too much if you ask me. The x52 had 2-3 notches, 1 making it hard to taxi because it was close to 25-35% N1 on most aircrafts in FSX, and the other i guess as an afterburner "guard". I opened it up and got rid of the notches and now I love it. Its big and has a big movement range so that you can do small inputs etc, Oh and it has a lot of buttons too ;)

I have not had any trouble with the throttle axis at all in FSX, and I must say the Warthog throttle is the best feeling throttle I've ever used. While I don't know how exactly does the throttle of a real jet aircraft feel like, I'd say this is about as close as you can get right now (if you don't count the $1000+ units). The only problem I've had with the Warthog is the throttle's microstick/mouse axis, which is erratic and unusable. This does not really matter to me though as I don't really need it for anything. For what it's worth, I have all the null zones set to 0 for the throttle and maximum sensitivity. It might also be useful to try to calibrate it through FSUIPC.

Was using the CH pedals until they completely died, now have the Saitek combat pedals, much better and a lot more realistic in looks and operation. Still using my CH yoke until I can afford the Saitek.

Do you like it? Or was it a waste, I can't tell from your reply.
It was totally waste, joystick itself is great but pedals and throttles are disaster. Lesson learned: do a lot of reading before buying :)

HiI have the g940 from logitech and no problem with it.Before that i used to have a extreme 3d pro. The g940 for me is big step. like it very much

Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS.If you are thinking of getting one - stop thinking and place that order! (Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with TM in any way - I just love the product!).

YES! Check the AXIS sensitivity/null zone (set to max sensitivity, no null zone), and you will get full range.Because it is using hall-effect sensors for positioning, the center is perfect, so the null zone is not required (both throttles and stick - I don't know about the slider - seems that is hall-effect too but don't quote me). Should last forever! :( Best regards,Robin.

Why would anyone use a joystick to fly a Boeing.......'as real as it gets', remember!!!Batting%20Eyelashes.gifPersonally, I have found the Saitek yoke ( Do not lubricate it if it feels too stiff :(Straight%20Face.gif - it will end in money down the pooper), Saitek pedals, and Saitek throttle quadrants are a good combination......plus some of GF's modules for a mouse free flight environment, mostly.Aerosoft have just announced a wifi ipad radio stack app for fsx [ not available yet ], if anyone is interested. Might be a cheap alternative to physical hardware solutions.Chris Farrell
