The system comes with TARGET software, that you need to run in order to be able to map every function of the stick/throttle to a function in FSX.
Not necessarily ;)You can use FSUIPC to map every function of the stick/throttle to a function in FSX as well, but this does require the registered version though.

Currently using my Saitek X-52 Pro. Got the Saitek Cyborg, and the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. I sold my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke a few months ago because i never really used it. But i am planning to get a new yoke for the NGX, like the CH yoke or the Saitek again. What i dislike at the Saitek Yoke, is that it's not really fluent when moving the yoke. And the angle of turn is too much limited, which i dislike as well.

Maybe yours had an issue. Mine is nice and fluid.

How do you mean, damped?
Damping, which is a force related to velocity. The faster you move the stick, the more resistance there is. You'd particularly notice the lack of damping if you release the stick from full deflection and it sprang straight back to centre, overshot and oscillated. A well damped stick would go smoothly and quickly back to centre but without any overshoot. Interestingly the real A320 sidestick is well damped for lateral inputs but has almost no damping in pitch. Thanks for the detailed information about the Warthog stick. Sounds like it fits the bill force-wise, but I'm so used to stick twist for rudder control that's almost a requirement for me as well. I don't really want to get into separate rudder pedals. Thanks again,Kevin

Im seriously considering the saitek yoke, but dont really like the look of the throttles. Any other throttles that you can recommend?

Hi,I use the following without any regret.1. Precision Flight Controls Jetliner Column yoke. 2. VRAC Boeing Throttle Quad. 3. Revolution Simproducts Rudder pedals. All outstanding products.

Could be the "detent" in pitch and roll that I talked about in an earlier thread. Makes it a lot easier to trim the airplane, but also makes it less smooth when needing to go from negative to positive (over the center). Just my opinion and experience of my piece, ofc.

Last year I dumped my old and worn CH yoke & pedals, which I never liked - thought they 'felt' cheap and 'tacky' from the start.Bought a shed load of Saitek stuff then... The Yoke & Pedals, Proflight Switch, Radio & Autopilot Panels plus an X52 for the fighters. The X52 and the Yoke were both faulty on receipt and had go back. I finally got a working yoke on the THIRD try! Seems there was a fauly batch.Much as I eventually prefer the Saitek for both build quality and design, there are some SERIOUS downsides to them - especially it seems, in Europe...All three of the yokes I've had were quite different! Obviously being built by different manufacturers under licence. The 1st one, though faulty inside, was by far the best. A very sturdy construction with cast alloy throttle levers I think. This one I've ended up with has plastic moulded throttle levers and is just not quite as robust as the others. That, I would think, makes it a bit of a lucky dip when purchasing.Another BIG concern is a complete lack of support from Saitek. The couple of times I did manage any contact with them, they were unhelpfull and sarcastic. Also, for anyone thinking about their Pro-Panels, be advised, they DO NOT work 'out of the box' on MOST addon aircraft. This is not mentioned on their sales info. You will not only need a licenced version of FSUIPC, but need to learn how to use the advanced features like mouse macros and more. All that said, I still don't regret the switch from CH to Saitek. Generally speaking, the quality looks and 'feels' better.

Have you guys had trouble with the Warthog throttle at all in FSX? RSR got a Warthog the other week and he tells me that he can't get the throttle axis to work right in FSX - it's always limiting it to something like 42-97% instead of 0-100 like it should be. It works fine in DCS A-10C. I saw similar reports on some of the combat simming sites too.
Thrustmaster Warthog here also and it works perfect 0-100% and the reverse thrust it perfect for a 737. Once you use HALL sensors there is no going back.Thrustmaster Warthog is in a league of its own.PS: Have they updated the firmwire drivers etc?

I'm happy with the Saitek yoke and thorttle (I don't use the 'axis' of them anymore cuz they became impossible to use after ~7 months) plus the GS Throttle SE. It is a brazilian product and seems pretty good until now. Need o buy new pedals since my old saitek has broken after one year and a half. I think is over used.

Saitek for sure. Just think, better quality, plus a separate throttle quad.
+1. The switch panel is also a good Saitek product.

Thanks,

Ahh I see. I just tried it and it seemed OK? Yes it did overshoot, but settled in less than 0.5 sec.Best regards,Robin.
