Hello, I just wanted to give all UT2 users a heads up so they don't start reinstalling things and spending hours trouble shooting. It appears that UT2 has some sort of a problem where the interface crashes. Also, one person had reported it crashing the sim.A staff member has not entered the forums yet but early speculation is it has something to do with today's date.Of course, I have been downloading and installing new ai over the last week. I installed almost 6000 paints beyond what is offered with UT2 - took about 40 hours. I was looking forward to getting the assignments taken care of. Looks like that will have to wait.

Has anyone been able to use the UT2 interface today? If you have UT2, could you please try to open it and see if it works? So far, we have about 40 posts in a thread that I started last night. Everyone has the same issue - many with different schedules, updates and operating systems. Also, if someone knows John Goodwin, could you please ask him to check the UT2 forums.

The interface does crash but ai traffic is still generated in FSX on my setup. Running the older free schedules.

Mine also generates traffic. I think, although I have not confirmed, that if you let things run for a while, FSX will crash. Some are reporting FSX crashes that began last night and I suspect that those that are not reporting crashes have not tried flying.

I just read your post went downstairs and fired ut2 up and sure enough it crashed, I'm using the new 2011 summer schedule, I also started up fsx and went to KLAX to test, it did generate traffic, I 'll let it run for a bit to see if fsx crashes aswell. Thanks for the heads up.

Just fired up FSX as well. Will report back as soon as I've done a "real" flight (probably not tonight though :( )

I just saw this thread and had to give it a shot. Sure enough, as soon as I click on the UT2.exe it starts to load but crashes, however it is generating traffic in FSX and seems to be working ok in the sim. I have the ultra light sitting at KDFW letting the traffic run a while to see if it crashes. It seems the in FSX the UT2 functions still work like the Clear Approach and Start/Stop Traffic.

Its generating traffic for me to, just the interface is causing a problem, off to their forums to see if there is a solution in the works.

Same here, running their latest free flight plans, not the additional ones.Maybe the Master Control Program is taking over now.I knew that would happen. Nail%20Biting.gif

I tried to install UT2 (new system) and was unable to get it running to build the schedules. So I uninstalled it (thought I did something wrong) and installed MyTrafficX instead.:-(Should have checked the forums instead ...

Steve just posted in the forums that they are working on it.The timing really sucked for me. As mentioned, I have been manually installing repaints for hours - every day for the past week. I finished last night at about 1AM and thought I would make a few assignments before I went to bed. the UI worked before midnight but after midnight (eastern time) it didn't work. I had cleared my schedule for the day to get through the assignments. In the end, it worked out OK. My wife was starting to get annoyed with the massive mess in the basement (my office/man cave). Everything is nice and clean now and I am hoping for fix.

crash-o-la here as well...FYI I changed my computers date and selected May 3 and the UI boots. So if you need to get in to it change your computers date, make your change and then reset your computers date again.Jim

"DITTO" Although FSX is running fine. Maybe it's their server.

Yep same here, crashhhhhh, fired up FSX and it loaded traffic ok will go for a fly later on and test it. I hope they fix this soon as I was doing the same as Jeff regarding repaints.
