I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm reading "Reality XP integration" there. :( If someone now comes up with a statement about a nice FDE (in all phases of GA flight), I will instantly drop any Carenado complains of mine from the past. :smile:Only my already filled GA hangar holds me back for now, awaiting that Skymaster and the King Air as some really new types while enjoying all the nice stuff I've already bought.Website works here, the shop too.

ZOMG!!! I'm buying this now. My wife is going to beat me when she returns home :( I'll let you guys know how it works. I have the GNS430W.EDIT:Installed, still using default panel, haven't tried RXP stuff yet.Initial impressions: Excellent! I have no 210 time but it flies much better than some of their earlier releases, like Seneca and F33.1) AWESOME VC textures. Oh so crisp, pretty nice lighting with some minor issues -> the lights post switch as no effect -> there's no lighting on the GPS buttons2) Handles well, semi slippery on the ground but that just may be a feature of the 210 lol...3) Sounds are really nice too, interior and exteriorAnother minor issue -> the shift+3 brings up a config type panel but none of the options work for me... Anyway, off to try the RXP stuff... here's some shots cropped down from 1920x1080 to stay within guidelines.c2102int1.jpgc2102ext3.jpgc2101.jpgc2101night.jpgc2102ext4.jpgc210extclose.jpg

EDIT: The GNS430W works perfectly!! 3D knobs and all. Wow - I'm impressed. Carenado has come a long way since their Arrow and Seneca! Now all we need is a GPS popup... maybe if I run the config panel...And I can now confirm WAAS approaches work with and without A/P guidance YAY!!edit: there's a little niggle... the 430W needs to control NAV1 source and it does, but the GPS530 on top defaults to the 430 frequencies... essentially I've lost nav2 and comm2. I've emailed them maybe they can make it so the RXP unit is above their default unit.Untitled-73.jpg

I'm going to write this not to slight Carenado but I believe it's a major problem. And apparently it's an FSX limitation from emails I've had with them just now. With the RXP GNS430W only config, you'll lose the ability to tune NAV2 and COMM2. The GPS500 and 430 frequencies will be exactly the same. The same may be true for the GNS530W-only config... I'm not sure since I don't run that one. This is a pretty big drawback for me considering the RXP integration at first seemed to be flawless. I believe it should be put on the web site so people know.

This may be clunky, but you could switch the 430 to NAV2, tune, and switch back to NAV1.. I think..or better, install a NAV2 radio and a filler plate in place of the 530.Cleaner might be to install a 530W instead..

To be honest Carenado mentioned something about that in an email. Though I can't remember the shortcut to do it... they said right click the power button... but that does nothing. Is there another way to switch the RXP to #2 position?Yeah, I wouldn't mind deleting the default 5xx and replacing it with another radio stack. I can't tell if it's possible, the gauges are 3d.edit: sweet, I finally found the clickspot for the swap (right click either the comm or nav swap buttons). This helps immensely... but it is a bit "clunky" like you say lol. I just can't see why their 500 can be nav2 and rxp can be nav1... oh well. Oh, before I forget, since you seem to know more about the RXP units than me - is it possible to put two GNS430's in a plane (Eaglesoft SR22 perfect example), without the unlimited addon, and set the bottom GPS to NAV2 source? Would it work that way?

Not sure... try it and see...I've got the unlimited pack installed which gives you a gns430_2 capability..

I actually don't have the Cirrus installed atm... Now would be a good time though with my new system and all... I could actually enjoy it :)

Thanks for the HU on that Nav2 tune feature. Must have missed that in the docs. :wacko:Surely useful on the planes where you can only use one small slot for a 430 unit and without using any radio stack hardware or modules.

Is any one having problems connecting to Carenado's website? I can't connect at this time 6-30-11. Just wondering if its down.

It's been hit and miss today... I assume it's a volume issue...

I had issues downloading last night - kept timing out. Got it in the end though.Could owners of both the RXP530 & RXP430 confirm whether they have managed to switch both units on in the 210? I can only get the RXP430 to switch on - the RXP530 unit remains off no matter what I do.
