July 16, 201114 yr There is a lot more to photoscenery than plugging it in. I am working on water masking for the needed areas. I am working on adding 3d scenery. I am working on a distribution system for timely upgrades. i am working on stacked scenery levels for autogen. I think there is room for a support forum. RayHi,This is great news!! Everything that can improve an already outstanding product is more than welcome. I am looking forward to your appealing work.Take care. July 16, 201114 yr Hi,This is great news!! Everything that can improve an already outstanding product is more than welcome. I am looking forward to your appealing work.Take care.Flight1's Instant Scenery really improves the photoreal scenery with a few simple clicks. Only problem is it is habit forming and I can spend hours and hours working on a small area that I am familar with. But, just adding a few high visibility items like a half dozen condos or hotels/casinos along the beach with a pod of grey dolphins playing in the surf and sea gulls follwoing the shimp boats sure increases the reality factor. I just added two full shopping malls that were total void in fsx all these years. The advanage of using the Massive Scenery is you know exactly what should be where and you can make a simple bgl that will work with with the photoreal or you can reduce the autogen in the default scenery and add it there as an overlay. Lots of potential here, especially if we start sharing the workload. I will post some before and after screenshots of the Biloxoi area as soon as we get the support space. I am working on adding the golf course to KBIX today. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
July 16, 201114 yr Commercial Member Sim Savvy says: We do need a support forum handled by someone more professional then me :)But I think it should be an all inclusive photoreal forum that would include other vendors and part-time enthusiasts also. You guys are the latter and I definetly need your help because I have reached the level where I simply cannot do more then I do.I used to make scenery all day and now I am lucky to respond to everyone's inquiries the same day.Technology advances so quickly just keeping up daily is a challenge and that is where a forum is extremely useful.I have lots of ideas to explore to create a better flight sim experience but they are on that long list of things to do.A forum would fast-track my ideas as well as those of others. I could dedicate 1 hour a day to such a forum. So here are the numbers. I've sold about 250 units to date. Most were sold since last May but the older customers are still with me.Megascenery & Blue Sky are the two vendors I strive to compete with and they both have substantial market share. And when you add the international photoreal vendors you now have enough players to justify a forum. The possibilities are endless. I have three items to start with. Water masking, color, distribution, all mentioned above. So who wants to run it?

July 17, 201114 yr Have the SimSavvy guys write us requesting a forum and we'll be happy to work it out with them. Users can ask, but it is the authors of the programs/add-ons that must request a forum (exceptions to that are very rare).
July 17, 201114 yr Author Hi Tom,That sounds great, looks like its in the hands of Sim-Savvy. I just sent an email to Larry, lets see what happens. July 28, 201114 yr That's awesome, I just bought the scenery and waiting I'm waiting for FEDEX to drop it off at my door. Dan Schultz REX Latitude BETA Team Member https://rexlatitude.com
July 28, 201114 yr I'd love to participate on a forum for SS as well - I too was thinking about watermasks and layering in some autogen... coordinating those efforts is key to preventing overlapping projects. I have enhanced several dozen small airports in my area of flying with Instant Scenery and re-tooled airport alignments. That increases the realism factor by an awful lot as well! -Greg

The forum would allow for good coordination of projects. REX AccuSeason Developer REX Simulations
