RealAir Turbine Duke V1.2 Update Available

Featured Replies

Both RW Dukes (turbine and piston) only use differential braking/free castoring to taxi... If that's what you're asking there.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

I havent figured out why yet, but trying to test the 'shared cockpit' function yesterday, we were unable to 'share'.

Yes, that's what I was asking! Thanks for the info, I will set the config to free castoring then! Cheers, - jahman.
Just hoping Real Air offer a micro update to bring the piston Duke VC up to par with the Turbine VC. ..the Turbine is almost too easy to fly provided you respect engine limits).
I fully agree on the 'too easy' impression on the turbine, that's why the piston version still is a frequent flyer here.Regarding the update for the piston, I think the position from Realair is clear and reasonable, but asking/wishing of course isn't a problem I guess.Count me in on some aspects. :(
Anybody noticed the new touchdown effect or is it just me? No matter how smooth I land, it always looks like my head almost hits the dashboard.
I really like the touchdown effect but it is exesive for me. even with the best "greased" landing it really knock your head around. I am 100% for the touchdown effect but it need to be a bit less. Is there is a way/setting in some "ini" file that we can change to make a little less "impact" at landing or swtich it off?. If not I will rather go back to original release as that was anyway 100% for me and these changes in SP are all just "additional" enhancements and not really "bug" fixes, and yes I do like these enhancements and want to compliment Sean and Rob on them. I really applaud you for your efforts and still raising the bar with each release.. So please dont see my little issue with the exessive head rock at landing as negative. It really is just a personal issue for me and is not to distract another fine release. the other 99.9% of people will most probably like it that way. edit..iro andydigital problems with FDE. I dont experiene really any difference in FDE.. rather same for me in all aspects from taxi to cruise and landing..

The touchdown effect makes my ButteKicker kick in and although it may be a bit excessive - the effect really adds to the realism IMO. Cheersjja

Is there ANY way to reduce or stop this head movement on touch down??? Would be nice to have the ability to disable it. Yes, it may add to realism, but when I hit hard during a turbulent approach, or perform an absolute greaser, the cockpit blocks the view for a fraction of a second. Having flown in realife quite a bit, you certainly do not get this kind of effect on touch down, your neck doesn't snap forward, the force of the touchdown does not do this to your body. A cockpit shaker like the BN2 Islander would be FAR better, some added sound effects even. I love Realair from the beggining, Robs support is superb, but this is one of these type of gimmics that Realair usually steer away from, but now we have an effect that really takes the enjoyment factor away from a Realair aircraft for the first time for me :-( PS, the night lighting is absolutely fantastic :-)
