When I saw news of the pending release of the PMDG 737, I knew I had some buttering up to do. Normally I use the "it's the best new plane or must have add-on that everyone else has" routine when telling my wife why I need to have it. She knows I am full of it, but is a sport and I typically get it. So I mentioned the PMDG 737 to my wife, and she kind of rolled her eyes and asked why I wanted it and how much. I didn't know how much (but kind of guessed it would be around the price of their other releases), and trying to explain to her what a 737 was and why this was going to be revolutionary was getting a blank look from her. I could sense the success of my begging slipping away.. and I knew I needed a game changer to keep the dream alive.So....I quickly went to an online flightsim product store and pulled up the Ariane 737. I said, the PMDG plane looks kind of like this one, which costs around $125.00 (including liveries). She asked in surprise voice "$125.00??, that's kind of expensive for a plane!". I said yes, but that the market was kind of like that... and that chances were that PMDG's 737 would probably be much less. I could tell she was processing it in her mind, and then she said "well as long as it isn't $100.00" you can get.So Thanks Ariane for your ridiculous pricing. I get to buy the PMDG 737 when in comes out. Oh, and PMDG if you are reading this. Please be less than $100.00....

*SIGH*Noobies...... lol :( You negotiate the $125 amount with the wife so when PMDG releases and it goes for $100 or less (if it does), you can pick up another $25 (or higher dollar) add-on and still meet the $125 amount previously negotiated.So, in essence, you still get the PMDG 737 but you also get another add-on like an FSDT KDFW or whatever. It won't matter to her because you will still be in around the previously discussed $125 amount. PLUS, if you manage to swing two add-ons for less than the $125 amount, you have just proven that you shop around for the best deal and win her trust when it comes to buying future add-ons.Some people think buying an add-on is just spending money. When you are married, it is an art form. :(
