August 3, 201114 yr Now that I look at it i'm sure glad I stayed put with FS9. I'd hate to dish out this kind of money for the NGX http://www.precision...3&idcategory=13 I prefer iFlys price much better. Clarke Kruger - CYEG

It's just a place-holder/joke :) Honestly, I was a FS9 enthusiast up until 4 days ago when I suddenly found some great tweaks for FSX and it looks amazing and runs very smoothly on my not-so-great system. :) With today's technology, getting FSX working well is pretty straight-forward. I highly recommend researching it all! :) Believe me, I was totally into the iFly for FS9 but I'm incredibly excited about the NGX. :) Calum Martin

August 4, 201114 yr $500,000? This must mean they added weather radar! Seriously though, I'm thinking about it. I've haven't invested a lot of money in modifying FSX (like I have for FS9), but I do have ORBX Northwest and ActiveSky weather for FSX. Perhaps I could do some ORBX puddle jumping?? My guess though is I would need a lot more add-ons ($$) to avoid FSX "stock" shock.
August 4, 201114 yr Commercial Member As soon as they release the 777 I will switch to FSX full time, honestly I don't see why people are still going on about FSX being slow, I am sure it comes from people who have never tried it properly. My reason for staying with fs9 is all the hard work, freeware and payware addons and time invested. I just never saw the point in starting again unless a company really started pushing the boundaries within FSX, and I don't mean eyecandy. Anyway, I still love fs9 and will certainly miss it when I switch, it will always be like an old friend.Regards Rob Prest

Get stuck with FSX? The reason we are sticking with FS9(at least I am) is because FSX didn't preform well on the systems back then and only recently we are able to run it. Hopefully, MS Flight will be different. Naif Almazroa My Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Youmou0205

August 4, 201114 yr Commercial Member I will move to MS Flight when PMDG or another high end company have produced an aircraft that is compatible. As I have already mentioned, it's not about eye candy or even FPS, FSX runs fine on my system. In the past I have also skipped versions of FS, but if you think I will miss out on a high quality 777 in FSX just because the base platform for the next big sim is in development then you are mistaken.Besides, if ms flight is everything it's cracked up to be I won't have to spend huge amounts of money on terrain mesh ground textures etc. Realistically it will take at least a year or two until a company is able to produce a high end heavy aircraft, until then I am not interested. If I want to see amazing cloud shadows and scenery in a cessna I will do what I always do, drive to biggin hill and fly the real thing. Rob Prest

The Bojote ones or something else? What made the biggest difference? Thx, Alex

Good point. We're at the point now that if you stuck it out with FS9 this long, as MS Flight draws closer, there's less and less reason to switch over to FSX. You can just go from FS9 to MS Flight.
