Do we really need all the racial stuff here....? Justin
What racial stuff?
Sounds like an epic excuse for an epic fail. Why on earth would hackers in China be working up to go after a ridiculously small niche hobby like flight sim jet addons. Makes no sense in the grand scheme of things.
Why was Avsim hacked a few years ago?

I don't see anything racial. Robert identified the attack as originating in China, like it or not.

If this turns out to be iFly, I'm going to be wanting a refund on their 737

Its obviously not iFly lol come on.

"Why was Avsim hacked a few years ago?" Because the Root password was given to one programmer who decided to take out his anger on Tom. No Chinese conspiracy there.

+1Too obvious.

i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

No offense to China (I'm Chinese myself), but stuff like this does worry me.

The fact that the attack comes from China doesnt really mean anything. It probably just means that the attacker has a botnet of zombie pcs located in china for some reason. Probably some trojan in a chinese program turned their pcs into zombies.

Also from China. It takes 4 days to finish the download.

Zicheng Cai

Exactly Johan, it seams that they're under a heavy DDOS (Distributed Denied of Service) atack, wich is prety hard to avoid because it has many sources. PMDG has very limited options on it, From our side, we just have to wait until the atacker gets bored. Paulo Bernardo

In light of this I'm gonna wait ....Im concerned my info will be stolen ....not PMDGs fault but peoples info are stolen all the time so I'll let you all be the guinea pigs

Mike Brown

Your info won't be stolen. It seems this incident is simply an attempt to slow and/or crash the PMDG site.

Im currently in Shanghai and i hope my IP isnt going to be blocked....otherwise I will purchase in the UK after 5 weeks which is going to be painful..
