I don't know how you did it, Amazing

I'm also seeing better FPS than the iFly bird. Though the mouse cursor also has a rather large effect with the NGX as well. Overall the frame rate is a lot smoother for me than with the iFly one.
I would expect the PMDG to out perform the other recent 737. PMDG has been doing this for a long time, and they are extremely talented. I still really give the other developer a thumbs up for what they managed to do at their price point. More aircraft on the market is better for us.

Hi, The only problem I have, I'll have to edit all the 2D panels so I don't get a flashing mouse icon when I cycle through the screens and hit the 2D panel. This is not a PMDG issue its an FSX issue. I just wish there was an easier way of changing the window_size= 1.000, 1.000 to windows_size= 0.333, 1.000 within the panel.cfg file. The way it is now, I have to manually change all the 2D panels to the new size and for all variants.

Good to hear the performance is better for you guys. I dont even have to ask which visuals you prefer.JackColwill

Hi Goran, I think the FPS is fantastic, I'm in an ultimate 737NGX aircraft (VC display) at a resolution of 5760x1200. I am at one of the hardest hit areas in FSX, New York. Surrounded by numerous airports (KLGA, KEWR, KISP, KTEB) with AI, I'm also at a very detailed KJFK airport produced by FSDT. MichaelAbsolutely correct. 31fps is very good. I wasn't implying 31fps was bad. But without knowing your settings, for a PC of your strength, I expected fps to be well above that. My system is not as robust as yours. (Dual core E6750 with a 1GB 9800GT). And if you're getting 31fps, it would be good to know what kind of settings you're at so I can figure out, roughly, how it will run on my system (and anyone else's who may have a similar system to me.)I can see your settings are turned up quite high. Thanks for the info.

Mine is a little jerky yet, but I still have some tweaking to do on my machine.

It's a bit comical to read about people being amazed about the performance when they have a system that runs close to 5 friggin' GHz. I'd rather like to see performance reports from people who run more worldly rigs, around 3GHz or so. No offense. wink.png

+1 I am absolutely sick of reading people with the latest and greatest systems ranting on about their concerns with frame rates. It's hardly as legitimate a concern as someone with a medium to low end system! I have asked on the other FPS thread on the general forum and of course, no answer. Just people with their 4+ ghz overclocked machines saying how great it is Whew.gif

Hi Patrick, The reason I'm amazed with this aircraft is because I own a very popular 767 as well as another 737 and my FPS are usually in the low twenties. Not only have I seen a large increase in performance, but to see this type of quality and attention to detail that is far superior to any other offering, as well as seeing an increase in performance is simple amazing to me. The increase in performance was NOT expected.

Hi John, Sorry that no-one with a lower system setup is not responding to your request for information, maybe they are all enjoying their new 737NGX. Just%20Kidding.gif As far as why I'm amazed with my high end system, you can read my post to Patrick.

Mike I also am running the ultra wide setup, although mine is eyefinity not the nvidia based system, but anyway you mentioned:

That should fix the 2d pop ups popping up ultra wide, correct? I didnt have any of the courser issues but I'm sure I will if I keep using it, I only used the FMC pop up last night. Richard Glatter btw Didnt I see a while back that you were working on a flow checklist for the NGX? How is that coming?

No worries Michael, it wasn't entirely directed at you. It's just been tiresome reading through the posts by everyone with extremely powerful machines. I had a quick spin in her at lunchtime in my now very medium spec'd machine and was extremely happy with the performance - very smooth! E6600 2.4 GHZ (Quad)4GB Ram8800GTX 768MB Well done PMDG!!

Hi, I'm still working on the flow/checklist, should be ready soon. The change in the window_size has always worked in the past, I see no reason why it shouldn't work with the PMDG. It's good to hear that you do not suffer from the flashing mouse when entering a 2D panel when running the high resolution. Just wish I could say the same, but its an easy enough fix. Big%20Grin.gif
