August 5, 201114 yr Author Gents- One of my first landings in the NGX wasn't really a landing. It was a runway overrun into the water north of KRNT. Note-To-Self: Not a good runway for a flaps 10 reduced thrust, MGTOW departure.... Anybody got some dry shoes?LOL yeah but i bet you remembered to tune the ils freq
August 5, 201114 yr My first landing was at SBGL - Rio de Janeiro- Brazil. Nice overview............try it! August 5, 201114 yr My first one was also Autoland, that was a great tutorial first flight, but I wish it hadn't ended with an autoland. Portuguese with my brazilian friend : Conseguiu botar a pintura da Gol Silva? Aqui so consegui a da Varig. E não esquece se assinar seu nome no post, senão eles podem deletar suas mensagens. August 5, 201114 yr My first landing was ILS 28R at Palm Beach International from Atlanta. Had to go around once though because I was using FSX ATC and did not descend nicely and was too high. Always fun being at ~10,000ft 10 miles from the airport when you need to be at 2000... so I went missed and I finally was vectored back only to notice I had 1.65k lbs of fuel left in my Left and Right tank... Other than that it was a fun intro flight for me. :)
August 5, 201114 yr Landed at KMSP... somewhat uneventfully.... Flew the ILS 12R, about 2 mi final disconnected a/p and forgot A/T was on lol... Still, avg of 27 fps with HUD on (LOD 6.5, max autogen, water 2xlow, UTX, GEX, plus MSP scenery update, but no AI traffic), 30 locked in external. It's a little stuttery at big airports but my rig can handle it. Haven't even played with the FMS yet... hehe oh boy! | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 5, 201114 yr I will touch down in about 5 minutes from a short haul flight starting form eddg to eddv :) and ists just from the second it finaly works on my pc the best aircraft ever!!! :) THANK YOU VERY MUCH PMDG Lennart Siepelmeyer Proud owner of the NGX from PMDG, the best flight sim aircarft at this time (just the best fs aircraft until the next PMDG plane is rolling out) Home airport: EDDG Online fliyng on IVAO, ID : 335599 Windows 7 x64 i7-860 (4x2.8 GHz) GTX-460 2GB 4GB RAM
August 5, 201114 yr I performed several Touch & Go s, just to get familiar with aircraft. I used to fly concorde x before this and 737 seems so slow, (Like you try some turboprop after you flied some jet aircraft), and so agile and responsive, almost as some combat aircraft :) So easy to roll it. Anyway, now going to fly LYBE-LTBA-LYBE with nice turkish livery Lj. Prodanovic Lj. August 5, 201114 yr Mine was firm. You know? Boeing firm. First landing was at Nassau (MYNN) RWY 32. Real wather via ASE and current time (02:00!!!). Started her up, slapped some digits in the FMC. One wide pattern, and back for a text book wheel planter. This thing handles so nicely. Though I set up landing gear toggle via FSUIPC with one button for up and another for down. Guess I'll have to peruse the manual tomorrow because my toggle switches aren't working.Had the same with my landing gear not responding to swtvh on yoke; reassigned switch to keyptess "g" noe it works fine. August 5, 201114 yr My first landing was at KADS after a hop over from KDFW just to make sure I could fly this thing. You have made an incredible product PMDG, incredibly frame rate friendly as well. It's awesome. Cheers, Alistair Hibbert.
August 5, 201114 yr Hand-on take-off, 200 KIAS or less circuit, and VFR PAPI approach to touchdown - spoilers, reversed, rolled out, cleaned up and taxied off with a big smile at Grand Canyon Airport
August 5, 201114 yr and VFR PAPI approach to touchdown It would be really nice to see a smooth VFR landing of the 737 NGX......
August 5, 201114 yr I just stuck a perfect landing at KTPA. I got 38 fps landing with the Tampa's FLYTAMPA scenery. The 737 handles excellent. It is easier to fly than the PDMG 747 and the same as the LD767. If you mastered those planes, all you need is to jump in and fly. Autopilot, FMC arte all a breeze. I didn't even read the manuals (only to find out how to add fuel - a bit different here) Paul Gugliotta
