August 7, 201114 yr How can i get louder callouts? Also i think the warning sounds are too low. 100% is the highest in sound settings - so do i have to lower all the others? // Jesper Giørtz-Behrens ------------ Graphics artist for Prosim737 panels
August 7, 201114 yr I'd like to have louder callouts as well, I have yet to hear any 80 Knots, V1, Rotate calls outside of the synthetic "VEE ONE" call generated through the cockpit audio system. Regards,Andrew ReynoldsDispatcher Andrew Dispatcher

Regards,Andrew ReynoldsDispatcherIm sure that PMDG have stated the V1 call out is just the only one, this is because there will be allowance for 3rd party addon's such as FS2CREW..
August 7, 201114 yr Hi guys - its possible .... .... but don't tell anyone else ..... .... 1) The callouts should be loud enough if you set all FSX sound volumes to "50" (apart from the ATC sound levels which can be set higher) and leave the PMDG CDU sound option "MASTER VOL" on "50" - these are the recommended default settings for optimal sound balance. 2) BUT if you still think its not loud enough then you can follow these instructions: a ) On the main sound page in the CDU raise the "MASTER VOL" from 50 upwards - for example set it to "80" - now ALL the PMDG sounds will be very loud! b ) Then from the same CDU page select "VOLUME LEVELS ADJUST" - now reduce the volumes of all items from "100" to "60" EXCEPT the "GPWS. TCAS" channel - leave that at "100". Now your callouts will be much louder while the other sounds will stay at the same levels. c ) Use the GPWS TEST button on the FO side to check the new level of the callouts until you are happy. Of course, this was just an example, feel free to tweak the levels as you see fit ! Cheers, Armen L CholakianPMDG Sound Engineer
August 7, 201114 yr Im sure that PMDG have stated the V1 call out is just the only one, this is because there will be allowance for 3rd party addon's such as FS2CREW..Is this a joke. They left out the Vr and V2 callouts completely. And now I have to buy FS2CREW to get them, too? Roland Schmalzl
August 7, 201114 yr Is this a joke. They left out the Vr and V2 callouts completely. And now I have to buy FS2CREW to get them, too? There are Callout, you need to activite them in the FMC Options Sound Menu Greeting Chris
August 7, 201114 yr Armen the sounds are incredible on the NGX, I'm going to invest in buttkicker, though I'm afraid I will be tossed out of my seat when I do. :)
August 7, 201114 yr I think everybody owning the NGX should buy FS2CREW ... So no real need for 80knots, Vr and V2 There are Callout, you need to activite them in the FMC Options Sound Menu Greeting Christhere are no 80knots, Vr and V2 callouts ... look at the menu and you'll see it yourself P.L. August 7, 201114 yr does some people think that the AP main off sound, sounds a littl bit wired? or is it normal? If you can´t read it, you can´t fly it. Real world B777F pilot
August 7, 201114 yr does some people think that the AP main off sound, sounds a littl bit wired? or is it normal? the sounds in most add ons are quite a bit off in tonality quality and pitch. The ngx has the sound spot on. Its weird, i know but its right lol. FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠 Matt Kubanda, 7950X3D, 64GB RAM, RTX 5090@4k, MSFS 2024
August 7, 201114 yr Is this a joke. They left out the Vr and V2 callouts completely. And now I have to buy FS2CREW to get them, too? Ummmm thats because there ARE no 80 knot, Vr, or V2 callouts on the real thing. At least not in ANY of our NGs. So I fail to see where the joke is.
August 7, 201114 yr Roland, Never say never - we were working on the sound programming till the day before release (just made it!!) and we had much more important sound items to finish up. Under these circumstances the FO callouts were considered lower priority, especially when other companies specialise in this area.... but we like to listen and react to our customer's feedback .... who knows what can happen in a future SP ? August 7, 201114 yr I absolutely love the heavy bass sound of the engines as you cut the throttle or at TOD and the A/T cuts it. Awesome sounds. Cheers! Richie Walsh
