August 9, 201114 yr Author Only if the flight attendants were what they used to be flying would be a whole lot more entertaining Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
August 9, 201114 yr You're obviously flying the wrong airlines. I've had my fair share of entertaining FAs on SWA and AWI. Joe Sherrill
August 9, 201114 yr Author I take that back I've ridden on SWA where the flight attendants had the passengers singing like an asian tour bus Devin Mack "Why yes I do sit up in trees and watch airplanes land in my free time, do you have any better suggestions for my weekend?"
August 9, 201114 yr Moderator Whoa momma. Southwest.I bet that pilot from Southwest that got busted last month for airing his frustrations over the lack of good looking FS's wishes they still looked and dressed like that :-)The blonde one at the back looks like that cop out of Chips Haha, you mean Bonnie Clark http://www.google.com/search?q=bonnie+clark+chips&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=ivnso&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=rcJATvf-AqzEsQKs9Zi5CQ&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CAsQ_AUoAQ&biw=1910&bih=920Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 9, 201114 yr tell you what i had some crew members that were consider (neck snapers) i would love to have a crew like that on every flight........... Image removed as image is no longer available.
August 9, 201114 yr Could someone please explain to this layman why on earth it is that flight attendants aboard US-based carriers are so hard on the eyes these days ? I hear that Cathay Pacific, for example, staffs its aircraft with young, nubile Asian women that would quicken the pulse of any red-blooded male who sets eyes on them. Surely,if a commercial interest like the Hooters chain can select waitresses fundamentally due to their physical beauty, then a commercial airline SHOULD be entitled to exercise that same perogative in order to boost (male/business) passenger numbers. I'm mad as hell and I won't take it anymore. If I wanted my grandma to serve me tea, then I'd go visit her. Is there now a REQUIREMENT in US airlines that prevents women under 60 years old from applying for cabin crew jobs ? Rant over Tony Best regards from Tony, at the helm of the flying desk.

Some people need to realize what flight attends do and - more importantly - not do. They're there to help you in an emergency, revive you in the event of cardiac arrest, and serve you food. Their industry is ENTIRELY different from "Hooters." An airplane ride is not a novelty- it is a form of transportation. Ruben Schuckit i5 2500k 4.5GHz GTX 560 Ti 8GB memory
August 9, 201114 yr Well Ruben, I was writing only partly in jest, since I do consider it discriminatory to ASSUME that a physically attractive woman would be less capable of mastering cabin crew protocol that would her grandma. Also, if young and attractive women employed as cabin crew translate into more income for the airline, as Cathay Pacific have clearly deduced, why should a standard that PREVENTS such employment discretion be IMPOSED on airlines, when it clearly is not imposed on bars and restaurants in the same country ? Hypothetically, if you as a passenger had the option sitting through an 8-hour flight and being served by either of two IDENTIALLY trained and proficient flight attendants, would you chose the one that reminds you of your grandma, or would you prefer the young, toned one that makes you salivate like a demented hound ? Personally, I'd go for the younger model, if confronted with that option. Tony Best regards from Tony, at the helm of the flying desk.

Just to get your "red-blooded male pulse" going. This must be the biggest cave-men reaction I have read in years!!! Incredible! Sean De Maere
