August 10, 201114 yr If you listen to the warning sound (AP-disc) and call-outs they are much louder and more aggressive than NGX. Could you consider changes to those volumes/sounds a bit? Listen here at 0:57 and 3:38: thanks - cheers. // Jesper Giørtz-Behrens ------------ Graphics artist for Prosim737 panels

August 10, 201114 yr It's just the fact that everyone's speakers are different. They said they recorded the sounds off of the real plane, so maybe it's just your speakers, and also you have to remember that camera migt not record a sound exactly how it is in real life. My monitor has a built in speaker, but I like using headphones in order to be able to hear all of the little sounds of the NGX, which, although my built in speakers have decnt quality, when using the headphones the sounds are much better. August 10, 201114 yr Moderator If you own the 747 you could always copy and paste those call outs into the NGX folder and use those since they are a bit louder. Sean Campbell Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator
August 10, 201114 yr I agree as well, but can you not adust the relative volumes. ?? ie Decrease engine noise (too loud in cockpit), and increase cockpit instrument/ callout volume. Interesting listening to the audio callouts -- different people's voice appear to have recorded different functions. The Altitude Callouts are a little off -- they have an enormous amount of "echo" on them. However, they sound fine to me - but you always have the option to record your own, ( With a "Boeing" American accent !! ) Personally, I would prefer a Female voice in the Cockpit.(1) They tend to sound clear, especially in the presence of noise. ( Female ATC also is typically clearer than Male Atc)(2) I am "conditioned" to RESPOND to a female voice .. ( as any Married Man will know !! ) Enough said ... Geoff
August 10, 201114 yr Turn the PMDG sounds right up via the CDU menu. Then turn the engine/environment sounds down in the FSX menu. Problem solved. i7 2600k @ 5.1Ghz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600Mhz, EVGA GTX 580 @ 950MHz, OCZ Vertex II 240GB, ASUS Xonar DG, Thermaltake Toughpower XT 875W PSU, Antec KÜHLER 620 W/C, Corsair 600T SE White My FS9 Screens - http://fs9screens.blogspot.com/ Callum Richardson
August 10, 201114 yr I don't think NG's use a female voice for system callouts, if you like the female ones get the MD11, anyways mine sounds just like that, I have a dedicated sound card, a Bose sound system, and followed their suggestion for setting up the sound.
