Just a quick question. Do we need to uninstall our liveries before installing Hot fix 2?

That would be the easiest - the installer overwrites the aircraft.cfg file, so entries referring to existing liveries will be lost.

what a GREAT support.. wish every company would be like PMDG. ps: 1) This update will remove all of your installed liveries. (Sorry!) Like the last time, i think it is recommended to remove your liveries first, otherwise you will still have the texture folders there. If you did not do that, you have to manually remove the texture folders before reinstalling the liveries. However, do not remove the folders called texture.pmdg and in the NGX900 folder there is also one that is called texture.900.. i suppose, you better do not delete that as well.

I did NOT unistall the liveries first so now, they are gone in the Livery Manager, BUT when I try to reinstall them I get an error message that the file ALLREADY exists!!! What do I have to do. Forget this, I just had to delete ALL liveries (NOT the default PMDG) in the C:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\PMDG 737-xxxxxxx libraries and reinstall them with Livery Manager.

Same for me, I deleted the Texture.XX folder and it worked. check the livery manager thread for instructions.

I can confirm this, the dome light switch on the aft overhead panel doesn't work anymore.

Yes my dear, it says that it REMOVES the liveries, BUT it doesn't say that it ONLY deletes them from the LIvery Manager and NOT from the C:\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes library!!! So if you try to reinstall them you get an error message!!! So your comment "I wish people would read the "README" files that come with updates" is just childish!!!

I did, before I edited my posting BUT your posting was not there because I had NOT refreshed my Explorer. Also an unnecessary answer. Think both of you should rad this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/344153-forum-posts-only-read-if-you-still-have-a-sense-of-humour/

Well then consider me childish! But seriously, the last update had us uninstall the liveries first. I kind of assumed that was the case with this one, too.
