I hear you, but hey, nothing is going to blow up and send my computer into orbit. So no harm in waiting just a little longer if i am not having issues. This wouldn't be the first fix that needed fixing. Rick Hobbs

The new PMDG livery manager makes installing and uninstalling liveries painless...there's no need for you to fly without your livery of choice at this point (assuming that choice is currently available). August 15, 201114 yr - I am having no issues with my NGX, and I decided to NOT install hotfix. Plus I like my dome light to work! Peter Osborn
August 15, 201114 yr I'm getting tired of these hotfixes ruining my service hours, I send a support ticket about returning them to back to what they were but go no reply, What is the point of service life failures if everything gets renewed every few days. EDIT Hah nevermind, I managed to backup everything to do with the livery (files, cfg, ini) and remove them manually before I uninstalled all the other liveries that remained. before I installed the liveries again after the hotfix I manually added everything back from what I backed up then installed all the other liveries normally. So for the back up livery I didn't lose my service life hours Jay Vorkapic
August 15, 201114 yr I could care less about your "service life hours". I very much appreciate the fixes. I think you mean you couldn't care less xD Caspian Merlin

I only wish you could uninstall multiple liveries at one time... <---------------> Mike Murawski
August 15, 201114 yr I see what they are talking about here. If you install the Hot Fix with your liveries still installed the aircraft.cfg file gets overwritten and your liveries dissapear in FSX. However the texture folders are still in there so when you go to reinstall the liveries it gives you an error because the folders are still there. The solution is to go in and delete the texture folders for the liveries. Examples: texture.aa texture.ba texture.dl etc etc etc. Just make sure you dont delete the texture.pmdg one cause that is where the default house liveries are. If you had uninstalled the liveries with the installer first this would have already been done for you. Paul Deemer
August 15, 201114 yr I could care less about your "service life hours". I very much appreciate the fixes. Well thanks that you "could" care less. And please post you name as per for forum rules. (like everyone else) This was the answer to the poor "random" failure system of previous aircraft, having it reset all the time takes away the point of the new system. However you still get the failures due to abuse/damage. But as I edited in my other post I found a way around losing the hours during hot fixes. BTW I am not against the hot fixes at all even though it's now stable for me I am happy we are getting them and PMDG are working at it, however I wish they would make it so the liveries didn't get removed or the data got backed up. As for the latest hot fix I thought I would try the only situation that caused me a crash (the last hotfix fixed my freezing) and that was deleting Holds from the RTE page, I can happily say that crash has been fixed. August 15, 201114 yr Author I wish people would read the "README" files that come with updates. It explicitly states liveries will be removed.I started this post to clarify if liveries needed to be uninstalled as on the original hot fix post it was clearly stated but it was not on the post announcing hot fix 2. Why are so many people on this forum so critical of others? Regards Nixon Thomas
