August 15, 201114 yr if i dont have any kind of problem with the 737 NGX, should i have to install this hotfix anyway? my 737 ngx never give me problems
August 15, 201114 yr I have a question for the PMDG Team as well. I noticed the first Hotfix is gone. So do I need to keep that one as a backup? Or Does this new Hotfix also include what was fixed in the last one? Paul Deemer
August 15, 201114 yr I'm getting tired of these hotfixes ruining my service hours, I send a support ticket about returning them to back to what they were but go no reply, What is the point of service life failures if everything gets renewed every few days. EDIT Hah nevermind, I managed to backup everything to do with the livery (files, cfg, ini) and remove them manually before I uninstalled all the other liveries that remained. before I installed the liveries again after the hotfix I manually added everything back from what I backed up then installed all the other liveries normally. So for the back up livery I didn't lose my service life hours This is probably the first post I've ever seen complaining that bugs were fixed. -stefan
August 15, 201114 yr This is probably the first post I've ever seen complaining that bugs were fixed. -stefan I am complaining about bugs were fixed? Where? Also full names are required in this forum as per forum rules. I brought up a function of the aircraft that was getting disabled (in some capacity) due to how the hotfixes are being handled and found a work around. Something for PMDG to consider in the hope future hotfixes would cause this problem. If there is no choice in the matter then so be it, it's a fair tradeoff but I don't think it is something that can't be avoided. Did you even read my following post? Jay Vorkapic
August 15, 201114 yr Commercial Member I only wish you could uninstall multiple liveries at one time...You can... you've been able to since the beginning. Use Shift or Ctrl to select multiple PTPs in the Open window, it'll install them all at once. Ctrl+A works too if you have them all in one folder. I have a question for the PMDG Team as well. I noticed the first Hotfix is gone. So do I need to keep that one as a backup? Or Does this new Hotfix also include what was fixed in the last one?We never do multiple sequential patching here - the latest patch is always the only thing you need. So yes, this already includes the first hotfix. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com

The last hotfix broke the dome light in the -800WL version (not sure about the others), which is a bit inconvenient if you start a flight at night ... August 15, 201114 yr Regarding loosing service-based failures: before de-installing the liveries from the manager, I made a backup of the aircraft folder in the NGX directory and copied the cfg files back. I hope that restored the service state of the airframe that I have been flying. Christoph Kühne

Yeah I did the same but I also backed up the ini and even texture files and uninstalled it manually then reinstalled it manually so the livery manager didn't do it. I went to all these lengths because I wanted to make sure. Let me know if just backing up the CFG works also :) Jay Vorkapic

No biggie... After the second hot fix all my aircraft.cfg versions are: 1.00.2888 Is that correct? Nevermind... I deleted all the aircraft.cfg files and reinstalled the hotfix... They are all now version: 1.00.2916 <---------------> Mike Murawski
August 15, 201114 yr Just a quick question. Do we need to uninstall our liveries before installing Hot fix 2?Yes, I did that, leaving only the PMDG liveries. Then installed the latest Hotfix 15th August not having installed the previous one.Re-booted,then re-installed whatever liveries I had previous to applying the Hotfix. All works like a charm.
