August 24, 201114 yr No need Ray !! This is just startup. And when are engines started? During pushback, usually. No?RayHow about the IRS alignment. Can we go from OFF to NAV without waiting in the ALIGN position? That will cover the various accelerations available. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
August 24, 201114 yr Sometimes but not always. I will post a procedure flow in a few moments. It was uploaded by a guy about 2 weeks ago. ( Michael Swannick ) There is a long version and a short version. It takes you through startup right through to shutdown. Fred. Frederic Steiner.
August 24, 201114 yr Thanks, I think we all have those from the waiting period. Only problem I have with them is finding where to start. I actually made a little booklet using those 6 or so pages so I could make the font larger and read it without a magnifying glass. At one time these flows had all the other NG models plus the 3 BBJs included and was one sheet front and back. You never seen so much information in one place. Wow. Almost as many options as the FCOM and FCTM. Here it is. I added the PMDG logo and the X now its ready to go. After all the 737NGX is still a 737NG aircraft. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
August 25, 201114 yr Hello all. I have gotten a few requests for some slight changes for this checklist. Take a close look and if you would like to see some additions, deletions, changes, etc. post them in the next few days. I will check back after the weekend and see if we have enough for a v2 of the pdf. Please make your requests crystal clear so I only have to update it once. Ray When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
August 25, 201114 yr I have been practicing with different formats - I'm looking for something easy to use and also easy to update. Take a look at this and post your comments or PM me. More detail, less detail, notes, no notes, BOLD, not bold. etc. Example only: When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .
November 30, 201114 yr I can't find an answer to this question: In the 2D panel, just where is the Fuel Cutoff Lever (normally behind the throttles). I can't even find the throttles in the 2D panel. Steve Lewis
November 30, 201114 yr Yeah, I finally got to that part of the Introduction (Pg 114). I went to the VC to get them switched on. I'll program some keystrokes to do it in the future. Thanks for the reply.Steve
November 10, 201312 yr Hey! I'm new in PMDG....I used to have already some years ago an older version PMDG 737NG for FS2004, and I took it up now again and installed same, and tried to start cold and dark. Started with the Cessna, only Avionics master switch on, changed to PMDG 737 and started the procedure as explained above.Unfortunately I did even not succeed in switching on Battery. When I touch the overhead screen with the mouse, nothing moves, no little hand shows up, and there is nothing that I can switch nor change.... What could I have done wrong, so that it does not want to work? Jive1
November 10, 201312 yr Problem solved! I uninstalled PMDG and re-installed, and now everything is OK. Possibly an error when installing the first time.... Greetz jive1
November 10, 201312 yr Commercial Member What could I have done wrong, so that it does not want to work? Next time, instead of dragging up a two year old thread, it would be better to just start a new one. That way people don't start reading the initial posts, only to find out your issue is somewhere near the bottom, and completely unrelated. Kyle Rodgers
November 19, 201312 yr .............. There are two means of getting AC. We either start the APU, or we use the Ground Power. Lets go with the ground power since some airports have restrictions of how long you can run the APU before leaving the gate. Press MENU on the CDU (FMC screen) Press the right key next to FS ACTIONS. Then the LEFT key left of GROUND CONNECTIONS. Make sure the Wheel Chocks are set. (SET shown in red). Now press the key left of Ground Power so "connected" show up in red. Now head up for the Overhead panel again, a blue GRD Power Available should be illuminated. .................... this does not work for me... the blue GRD Power Available is NOT illuminated... any ideas? and yes I uninstalled and reinstalled. Ciao!
November 21, 201312 yr this does not work for me... the blue GRD Power Available is NOT illuminated... any ideas? and yes I uninstalled and reinstalled. Perhaps I'm stating the obvious here but, battery on first? Steve Caffey
November 21, 201312 yr Commercial Member Perhaps I'm stating the obvious here but, battery on first? I thought the blue light of happiness always stayed on. That's how it was on the SLAAB, and the RJ (though the RJ was white/green). I never really use the C/D state, though, so I could just be forgetting... Kyle Rodgers
