No visible chocks

Featured Replies

Although I choose 'chocks' via the CDU no chocks are visible. First they were; before I installed the KLM and Transavia liveries. But the chocks are gone, even if I choose the House livery. Any suggestions? Thanks,Paul

which aircraft does show up on default flight, on main screen in free flight mode? I suggest saving a default flight with one of the default airplanes. I had the same problem before, also there were SATCOM antenna although i did not choose it via FMC. I had my default saved flight with PMGD NGX. Saving a default flight with cessna solved the problem for me.

It might be the infamous FSX chock burglar !! I do hope they catch him soon. LOL.gif
? Really? You're filling support threads with this nonsense? OP: have you tried removing those 2 liveries to see if it's one of them that's causing the issue? Try as was suggested with the default flight

Okay sir, you need to 1: grow up. 2: realize that this forum, and especially this thread, are for support purposes. These people are here because of problems. They want to be told a fix. Not a grown man telling them it's the "chock burglar" who then later assumes it's another forum member because they are female.

Hello And you need to realise that you are NOT here to moderate this forum. He is an actual PMDG customer who may even be in a better position to offer help than yourself who does not even own the product. I for one am surprised that the PMDG guys sit back and let you continue to harass customers, especially after posting a screen shot of the NGX running on your laptop then admitting you have not purchased the aircraft. Maybe someone from PMDG may like to comment. Glyn

Is it a detail level setting that stops them showing up, or perhaps advanced animations being turned of or something? Might have happened during you tweaking settings for improved performance. Just a guess. Re the above sense of humour bypass by the way, the day we can't post a joke or two on this forum will be the day I stop coming here, and with that in mind, I (Chock) will point out that I am not normally visible because of my ninja training. I could tell you more about it, but then I'd have to kill you LMAO.gif Al

I agree, the monotoned environment can be so daunting. I often try avoiding replying on the forums with a joke, before I am flamed, and feel like I've done something bad.

Have you got the advanced animations option checked in the FSX menus? Jason, that post wasn't helpful at all. If you wanna post stuff like that, go to a different section of the AVSIM forum that allows nonsensical posts.

Di you have to admit they have some valid points and concerns. 1) How can you offer good advice on a product you do not own, or have any experience with at all?2) You do at times come off sounding like a self appointed Moderator in this Forum.3) I already saw Ryan in here Scolding Torkermax. You may be next in line and me as well if I don't learn how to tone down some of my own opinions. You are really alienating more than you are helping people.

Is this really any of your business? I do not believe you have the right to declare or decide what people post in the PMDG Forum. If the PMDG Staff have a problem with posts getting too off topic I am sure they will let it be known. Actually when you think about it your rank here is at the bottom. PMDG Staff, Moderators, Paying Customers, Guest (Which would be You). Might help your credibility a little more if you were a wee bit nicer and more respectful. unsure.png

The first suggestion was ok.I made the FSX Cessna default. After that I could load from Free Flight the situation with the PMDG at EHAM and the chocks are visible again.Thanks.Paul

I have to echo the above sentiments... I feel I have a lot that I could add here in terms of discussion but I am always very reluctant to post. The atmosphere in this forum is very unfriendly, elitist and not at all conducive to support.More often then not you see people having their questions ridiculed or slapped down by a wannabe moderator or rabid ######. Too many people here seem to think that they get some kind of reward from being a big-shot on forums, when the truth is that it counts for nothing in life. Quite frankly the "wannabemod" thing is very childish, it doesn't get you any respect, causes more damage then good and undermines the flow of accurate and verified information. All it manages to do is hurt people, alienate, and drive away new entrants into the genre. A wannabemod acts like they have the power, but fails to employ the tact, diplomacy or responsibility of an ACTUAL moderator. I am not just having a go at NGX, this forum and Avsim as a whole is full of them. I saw a post only a few days ago in another section where a wannabemod came in, spouted off complete hogwash at a newbie who took it as true, simply because they didn't recognise the offender as wannabemod. Think how someone who has never used a simulator, a complete newbie looking for advice, not "clued in" to the "etiquette" here might react seeing this kind of attitude on the forum. It's really sad. To the OP... I am sorry your thread has been hijacked. But I can't really help as I have not noticed it myself. I am wondering if it might be a texture dependent thing? That maybe the texture for the chocks are included in the livery and were forgotten? Just thinking out loud here... Chuck
