remember the 747?

Featured Replies

Love the NGX, but still current on the MD11 and to a lesser extent the 747. (All PMDG of course). Still love the Feelthere E145. But I get a real blast out of flying the freebee DC4, Electra and Viscount. Turn up the volume and feel the windows rattle.

The NGX is the only add-on I've ever purchased, so basically .... I'm screwed. eh?
Actually, you are not. Variety is the spice of life. Add-on aircraft that are absolutely worth having beside the NGX and that have a similar system depth and that are absolutely fantastic products (of course provided that you aren't just into jet liners): A2A Simulations B-17 /w AccusimA2A Simulations Spitfire /w AccusimA2A Simulations P-47 /w AccusimA2A Simulations Piper Cub /w AccusimA2A Simulations B377 Stratrocruiser /w Accusim & Captain of the ShipAerosoft Hughes H-1 RacerAerosoft Diamond Katana 4XAerosoft Dimona XDodosim Bell 206Lotussim L-39 AlbatrosPMDG J-41 (of course. wink.png ) I'd never want to part with these.

I'd like to see PMDG do a Lear.. That's what I like to fly as a small private type jet.I'd like to see a 31a or a 45 with the detail of the NGX. I'd buy it..The FSX Lear 45 flies well enough I suppose, but I can't handle the Fisher Priceautopilot, and other systems. Too mickey mouse in that regard, same as howthe FSX 737 compares to the NGX.

The J41 from PMDG is the awesome!. As far as all my other addons,... they are all for sale. anybody interested?

Flew the 400 the other night, it was great. So much power with 4 engines and it can brake like no other. Sure the cockpit isn't as slick, but the exterior is gorgeous and she flies beautifully. The 11 is sweet also, but I have been pushing some 6.5 hour flights with the NGX and the 11 has been left in the hangar for a bit.

Just cannot believe no one mentions fslabs concorde x I love this plane and feel it is without doubt my best addon.

Yea i got it as well one of the hardest to learn how to fly correctly, especially using the old fashion way of naviagating ins. Only good for long flights though no good on short flights

Well - i just took the Queen out on a Cargo run on AirSource (ELLX-OMAA-VHHH-OMSJ-LHBP-ELLX) and i enjoyed every minute of it. So i disagree on this. While i appreciate the complexity and appearance of NGX i enjoy switching planes quite often (no doubt PMDG is on the top of commercial add-on companies and i grant them every bit of commercial success) - I am glad that there are companies out there, giving me the possibility to fly aircrafts like the Embrears (145, 170/190 which i immensely enjoy) or a 707/767. Especially considering how long FSX is on the marked now, i find the variety of commercial airliner add-ons, that are native to FSX or utilizing all the FSX capabilities quite disappointing. And while one can choose between 2 different NGX add-ons, to 757s, to 777 (well one is not fished + but a third one from PMDG on the way) there are still no Saab prop, no Dash-8-100/200/400s, no CRJs (i know there is one commercial package, however its not working for me with FSX/Win 7), no ATR42 (and the 72 is old now), no F70/100 (one unfinished) or no BAe (suddenly 2 are one the way... ) - not all of them so rare in the skies that the commercial argument is valid (IMHO). So the NGX isn't everything to me and i thank other producers for there "bravery" for not going "main-stream" in a way and while PMDG is most certainly pushing the limit with the NGX, i am not checking the current consumption every time i use a switch or hope for a fancy failure every time i am taking her out - however i love the possibility smile.png . But it does not decreases the value of other add-ons i own. Nico A.

They certainly did a good job with it. Unfortunately, whether realistic or not, I don't like the way it flies - so difficult to hand fly accuately.

An advantage of the 747 over the NGX is that it has the VOR autotune feature and the model has less tendency to float over the runway.

You can't compare the two like that they are totally different aircraft. The Queen is a Brick and the NGX is a Glider. LOL! They both act like they should.

While the Feelthere Embraer series may be no match for the latest PMDG products from the standpoint of visuals, complexity and performance realism, those Feelthere products are currently the most accurate renditions of the Embraer 135,145,170,175,190 and 195, which is the reason many flight sim pilots who do wish to learn the systems and operation of those Brazilian-made birds will continue to fly them, unless of course PMDG decides to produce the Embraer jet series, in which case Feelthere will vanish beneath the waves without a trace. Fortunately for Feelthere, that scenario is very unlikely. Tony Selario
You're right. However, where I can fly with any other jet I likely could do it with the NGX (I'm speaking not about the default ones). The Embrear is a nice bird and my Eaglesoft Citation X 2.0 X as well but both are standing in their hangar now. The only alternative I use is the F1 ATR72-500 for unpaved runways and the F1 PC12 if the strips are too short. BTW, I love the Queen, too!

Axel

Hey guys check this out. Removed the other video cause I been messing around with Sony Vega Pro and got the video resolution up to 1080p. The Queen still is a thing of Awe and Beauty! http://www.youtube.c...h?v=sCHqfqlddqg

I of course know that the two models are very much different and are subject to their own weight limitations.
