Ok, I had all kind of useless stuff on the dll.xml file (FSUIPC etc...).Cleaning up the file did the trick, the hud works now.:--)

ok did the same and now Hud is working as well :-) However still not able to use the terrain function as its just purple. No biggie, just have to live without it until I find out what the problem is. Thanks for the tip about re the Dll.xml file David.

I'm absolutely involved with P3D so far. Though I can assess that with Carenado planes, I have tried C340, Cargomaster and C152II, P3D gets less fps than FSX @ same settings (of course bloom and good water settings are active in P3D). In these a/c's also courtesy light and strobe lights don't work.

I wasn't able to make it work.But try following: point the installer into P3D like you would into FSX.

Has anyone tried installing the Aerosoft Airbus X. I have tried installing it, copying relevant files, updating DLL etc, but have come unstuck. The airbus loads perfectly except the FMC is completely blank ie just a black screen. Any tips or hints etc would be grateful.ThanksRich

Haven't tried it yet, but, there is a dll, think its called pmdgoptions.dll that provides the PMDG menus. maybe something to do with that, or the older PMDG licensing system might be blocking it, thinking you dont have a licence as it wasn't 'installed'?! Just guessing though!

I think many of us are losing the point, the object should always be smoothness, no hitches, stutters, low framerate slideshows. Speed as measured by framerates is secondary to smoothness - and so far I am impressed, and why not. Full threading is now with us, for starters and I bet the rate of improvement will jump ahead.May I ask:I accept the problems associated with licensing, but could someone give me a cookbook on how to transfer a plane from FSX to P3D.Simobjects, gauges, fonts, etc, dlls and xmls. I am at a stage where I need a 1 then 2, explanation. I would be most grateful. If you keep it generic, then I take any other risk on to myself.
