Flightbeam released KSFO Fs9

Recommended Posts

Looks promising but the trial doesn't work on my system. Coming in from KLAS in PMDG's MD11 I didn't have any glideslope on 28L, LOC only, the message appears "trial version started" and subsequently FS crashes. So I'll stick to the old FlyTampa version.

They have. See thread http://forum.avsim.n...-fs9-will-come/ from post 19 on.
Great im%20Not%20Worthy.gif news!!!!
Sorry, I didn't expect it to be in that 2-in-1 thread. Even if it isn't "news" to someone, it is still something that we can discuss about. The Flytampa's version still impressing me through times

I bought it after looking at it in the preview version. I didn't however bother tuning any navaids until after I purchased it. While it looks great, none of the ILS equipped runways (28L/R, 19L) have glidepath information. #####?

Same here; seems to be a known issue and has been brought up on their forum. I'm sure a fix will be forthcoming.

Is there anything actually *wrong* with the FlyTampa version that would warrant buying this new one?

The Flytampa version is seven years older than the Flightbeam version.

I have encountered one problem. I was doing some night flying from LAX to SFO when my computer simply froze. I was flying the Feelthere ERJ 145. I've never had this happen before. I guess the best course of action would be to check with Flightbeam. Anyone else had this problem?

The scenery's textures are native 32bits with alphas. They should be converted into DTX3. Once it's done - the problem's gone.

Yes, three times last night. I thought it was me. But come to think of it I have not had an OOM in a long time up until now. All three times it happened to me was during initial climb out 2000ft and below. Twice on 10R and one on 28L. No problems taxiing though. M-

Did you convert the textures into DTX3 format?

With or without Mip?

11 levels of mipmaps with 32bits and 9 levels when converted into DTX3. Actually, DTX3+9 mipmaps levels = common standard for FS2004 payware scenery products.
