Has anyone got some exciting flight plans to share?

San Jose, Costa Rica (MROC) to Tegucigalpa, Honduras (MHTG, shortest runway in international airports), Central AmericaFlight plan route: RAMON4.ARENA UA502 TNT RNAV.SOUTH.RWY02Flight time: 1 hrRecommended FL: 340 to 380After flight, report if you still alive!
For some reason I can't load MROC or any airport in Costa Rica for that matter Thinking.gif I haven't a clue what is worng. FSX just freezes, my default aircraft is the default Piper, can't really blame the NGX. Freeze occurs before I've done anything elseLethu,FACT

NG 737-600 "aficionados" try the following FPL, the route is short but the arrival is really challenging :Sion (1580ft) to Lugano (914ft)IFR route FL 250 : LSGS ROCCA M135 TOP LSZAroute distance 247NMSID 25 ROCC1J rwy 25 6600*130 ft asphaltSTAR 01 TOP5L rwy 01 4400*100 ft asphaltAPCH IGS 111.5/017° 6000 ft SLOPE 6.7° Vasi PAPI4check your Vz = f(slope,GS)fuel & payload at your own conveniencesuggestion : make your flight in real wx conditions and set FSX at sunrise to enjoy the beauty of the Alps in the early morning
My goodness, I am never doing that flight again! the terrain! the clouds! the steep approach and the extremely short runway! Wow!

I'm just setting up a flight Boston to Chicago Midway in the 700 with the Southwest repaint.KBOS HYLND MHT SYR J29 DJB J60 GSH KMDWOther flights into Midway by Southwest KPHX, KLAX, KATL, KPHL, KCLE, KCMH plus many more.

No NG is certified for the steep approach profile and short runway of EGLC... you can try it in FSX, but it is certainly not a real world procedure... scary enough in the E190... when I last went in there, the captain planted it well and truly onto the runway... more of a slam than a land really...Innsbruck is a great destination for the NG, weather permitting, you might want to try the visual approaches... Sion, Geneva, all good fun in the NGX...As David mentions, Midway is great... particularly for landing!Gibraltar has a great approach too... the LPMA Funchal 05 visual approach is great fun in a 737, even more so in something larger, though you need practice, especially in bad weather...There are loads of possibilities...Andrew

Must say I have tried some suggestions and there are some tough flights out there. I think it's fun to try them at night, wow talk about spatial disorientation.

Fun short hop, try SAME (Mendoza, Argentina) - SCEL (Santiago, Chile). Both flown daily by LAN on A320s.Computed route from EL PLUMERILLO (SAME, SA) to ARTURO MERINO BENITEZ INTL (SCEL, SC): 3 fixes, 110.9 nautical milesCruise altitude between FL200 and FL200SAME (0.0nm) -SID-> UMKAL (61.0nm) -STAR-> SCEL (110.9nm) The UMKAL2 approach into SCEL is hair raising:http://southerncrossairways.com/descargas/cartas/chile/SCEL.pdf

Try a rip into CYLW (Kelowna) with the -600 or 700 for a bit of a challenge and good scenery...or really get the 600 warmed up and try the circling approach into CYCG (Castlegar).

Has anyone try PAJN (Juneau, AK) from KSEA or PANC ... runways 8 took me forever to master that landing but ill say is a real challenge to get over that cliff and land smooth ....lol.. I love flying Alaska routes..Carlitos Colon

Yes, I agree. I downloaded an RNP approach which is really fun to hand fly. You curve your way along the side of the mountains. ORBX makes the area look great. Another great flight plan that I like is KSEA-KBIL. If you approach from the east you fly over the bluffs and land on a plateau to the right of the city. It is a great approach.

"My goodness, I am never doing that flight again! the terrain! the clouds! the steep approach and the extremely short runway! Wow! "That was predictable....May I suggest you should try it again ? Practice is the key. Some practical recommendations that may help :- set your flaps 40° and the corresponding Vref speed before PINIK- set autobrake at full + spoilers armed- start your descent at PINIK- the slope 6.7° is equivalent to 11% (10/6 * 6.7)- that makes a ROD of approx 120*11=1350 ft/min at GS 120ktsyou may also try a shorter route, arriving to Lugano from ODINA (NNW)LSGS ROCC1J ROCCA SCS ODIN6L LSZAfly over LSZA inbnd PINIK and make a proc turn (unpublished, left or right, your choice) to intercept 017°/111.5 ILUThat should work and make you happy....

I did the RNP down the channel to 26 a few days ago at PAJN. That's a cool approach, too.

Ha Ha Ha, I could not stop at end of runway. You have to slam her down right on the beginning of the runway, max brakes and reverse. I could not do it with a low cloud base. FANTASTIC.

"Ha Ha Ha, I could not stop at end of runway"hand-flying your landing at KIAS <=120 you should ! in case your speed is above activate the spoilers to reduce it but don't forget to deactivate them before short final !Most of the time I manage to stop my landing just before the taxiway Z on the left side (full flaps + full autobrake + spoilers deployed)
