December 12, 201114 yr I have no idea-I ran the updater today and it updated-looked like most air files.... Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 12, 201114 yr Geof,Point your cursor over the X-Plane .exe. It should read 10.0.3.3, this is the latest beta. Beta 4 is due out within the next couple of days.

December 12, 201114 yr OK, so now we know that beta 3 fixed some of the issues, but not all. You're correct, prop animation disappears as we add throttle. Maybe beta 4?
December 12, 201114 yr I think what GeofA is most surprised about is that when a known issue exists with a product, especially with a new product that users are going to be trying to utilize a product with (a XP9 addon in the new XP10), a user would expect that a patch be made to make the product compatible and bug-free again. If this is not the case (as the "do not update" from LR poses), at least a notification that the bugs exists and that a solution is in process for final product and anything a user can do in the meantime to create compatibility in the current buggy product would be posted somewhere prominent location such as a sticky on a forum or a mass email to all purchasers of the product.Being told all products are compatible to most end-users would mean that the product works as well in the new platform as it did in the old (i.e. no bugs that inhibit usability or graphical anomalies). This is NOT The case from what LR has said compatibility is to mean and that creates and customer relations nightmare. A good customer relations approach is to address any deficiencies (minor or major) up front and ensure the consumer that a work-around is either available or forthcoming. If every customer has to ask you how to fix something that is already a known bug, you'll spend too much time advising customers the same information time and again. Posted in a prominent location, the information can be disseminated without your interaction, freeing you time to make another product or enhance the existing one. Aaron
December 12, 201114 yr Commercial Member Today with the new patch (at least mine updated again) the prop effect problem is gone-but so is the prop effect from inside the cockpit...gone!Hey, Geof,Is this with HDR on or off? HDR has caused a few headaches in how it renders.Laminar has stated over time that HDR is still very early stage, and while nice in many areas, is deficient in others. Transparency in canopies/glass is one of those issues, and props can sometimes get weird too.The issue you originally had with props had to do with a missing dataref, which I alerted Laminar about and sounds as though they have re-implemented it.Can you try this with HDR off (if you don't have it off already) for kicks just to see if your prop is then visible in the cockpit? December 12, 201114 yr I am only running the sim with hdr off-hdr makes the sim pretty much unusable with the performance hit.Something I did notice-I thought the prop was completely gone-then added some clouds-and there it was again (not looking quite right). Not sure if that is helpful info or not. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!

Do you see your prop in cockpit mode then?As for the weird cloud anomaly...is it a prop disc with weird transparency, or what do you see? This is with the F33? Can you duplicate this same problem in another aircraft? Founder of X-Aviation
December 12, 201114 yr A still shot is hard to convey it but I get these 3 horizontal lines that move up and down (not in a circular pattern like a prop) and can almost obliterate the inside view.Yes I get a prop when stopped. What is strange-is it seems everytime I go to a new update-they disapear for a while-then come back. Now I am even getting them when there are no clouds-though that is what seemed to trigger them back on today. Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 12, 201114 yr Strange!I updated to 10.0.3.3 the very moment it came available some days ago AND I had nor have any problems with the Bonanza propeller at all.I have seen the phenomena a few times after crashing an aircraft.( not exclusively the B33 ) In other words I saw this only after an automatic reloading of the plane.Reloading the plane manually solved it.So yes I have seen it and no, it is no real problem.Neverthelss it should never happen.
December 12, 201114 yr Whahahaha not exclusiv the Bonanza , I did some tests the other plane having the same weird propeller after autoreload..............the Carenado Mooney.
December 12, 201114 yr This is strange. I just reloaded the f33-saw a beautiful spinning prop-and then it just vanished-and now I am not seeing the lines! Geofa WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE-the best Flight Sim!
December 13, 201114 yr Hi GeofToday I installed beta 4 , and guess? At startup I see the propellor spinning and after a few seconds all of a sudden the animation disappears. (as well es on the Bonanza as on the Mooney)Increasing the RPM to max level brings back the animation.( this time very vague because its a high-rpm-animation).I had a look at the Car_Bonanza_prop.pngThis png shows textures for the outside-view animation ( top row) and textures for the cockpit-view-animation (bottom row)On this bottom-row we see from left to right.animation-texture for low rpm , animatio-texture for medium rpm and animation-texture for high rpm.,Being quiet a handy painter I tried to increase he visability of the medium rpm texture.Strange enough without result. Then I simply made that part of the texture massive blue. (why , do not ask me )I expected to have a blue shield in front of the canopy.I was absolutely flabbergasted to see the animation work perfectly without any blue in sight.Making the same spot black gave the same result. The graphic machine skips the med rpm texture and uses the low-rpm texture instead.I realise this is not the way to solve the problem ,its just a workaround , nevertheless its interesting and its a fine temp. solution for me.Did the same with the proptexture for the Mooney with an excellent result. The moment my props will go black or blue I know its time to put back the original files. For now I am very happy with the result.Herewith the actual files.Give it a try.CheersLeen
