Track Ir has arrived =D, Though to be honest, that's one of my son's presents, it's proving quite tricky to master as well, if anyone knows how to look at the overhead panel without the view point shooting through the roof, please do let me know :( ....Merry Christmas to yee all.....
If you have ezdok you can setup limits to avoid clipping.

Also adjusting your head position & recentering can help. If I have a lot to do on the overhead I'll pick my head up a bit & look down slightly before recentering, makes leaning back/sideways and looking up easier & your less likely to hit the upper range limit, which sounds like the problem you're having.

A-20 is awesome. I bought one a couple of weeks ago for my flight training & love it.

Haven't tested it in the field yet, but my friend used to let me borrow his Bose X set back when I was working on initial. I've been wearing it between family visits and calling my GF on the Bluetooth. I need to grow up! :Nerd:Tomorrow shall be the true test!

I haven't messed with the Bluetooth, but the noise cancelling can't be beat. Still easy to hear rpm changes, but everything is so quiet it's crazy. Intercom is crystal clear, like you're sitting in a quiet room talking to someone next to you.Edit: it's also pretty comfortable. It doesn't clamp down on your ears as much as a lot of other headsets.

Thanks. Now I'm excited! And yeah, even the Zulus my buddy has would hurt and put pressure in front of my ears after a few hours. The Bose X set was comfortable the entire flight, so that was my mind set.To the OP: Back on topic! Sorry!

Off topic for one more post...I felt the ever present relief when I took them off, but in the 2 flights I've made wearing them (3.3hrs total) they were never even the least bit uncomfortable during the flights. Ok, now back on-topic...My wife gave me $500 to go toward flight training this morning!

Where do you train?

A guy named Jim Whitesell at Harrison co airport in Texas (10 minutes from my house). He's a retired freight hauler (convair 400's) & does a great job explaining things & walking you through them. Using sportys for the ground bit. I've been posting my experiences at the following link...http://forum.avsim.net/topic/356389-finally-took-the-plunge/page__pid__2198490#entry2198490

Yeah, it's not a part 141 school (or whatever the number is). I don't have the time available to commit to a fixed schedule, but the 1-on-1 training is definitely worth it. He tells me what we'll be doing in the next session so that gives me time to review the maneuvers in addition to my regular study time. I only picked up the sportys videos last week & it's helping by giving a different approach to what I've already studied.Edit: Harrison co airport is uncontrolled as well. The tower hasnt been manned in 20 years. There are a few airports close by that are, so class c/b airspace is easy to find if you want it.
