December 25, 201114 yr Ok, a bit early for most of you, but please do tell. What'd ya get? OR, what did you treat yourself to?I'll go first. Santa doesn't like me much since the last time he came here he got stuck in my toilet vent thinking it was my chimney... So I treated myself to a few things due to all the sales (see this thread). 99% of this stuff has been sitting on my wish list but the sales helped these things climb above all others and were bought today. Airport Madness 4 Ultimate DefragBought this nearly 12 hours ago and still no email, no support response, no anything. No download link. Great sale, but buyer beware.[*]From DCS The A-10[*]UK2000 Heathrow Manchester [*]Carenado C337H SKYMASTER[*]Active Sky 2012[*]Concorde X - Almost tried to buy it on their site but their site bugs out on me every time I visit it. This was the second time I tried to give them my money but their webmaster fails miserably and should be shot. Oh well, maybe in the future, I may buy it, but then again,,, maybe not.[*]Aerosoft #2 - Credit Packs for AES Plum Island (I live nearby) Manhattan X It looks like a lot, but I saved a lot! Again, see the sales topic here.So please do tell. What'd you get, or what'd you treat yourself to?*It doesn't have to be FS related either. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
December 25, 201114 yr Surely you can get the Concorde X on Aerosoft's website with 25% off, can't you ? Z. C
December 25, 201114 yr Author No thanks, I don't want a CDDVD. Not even for 50% off the download price (hmm, ok well maybe then :( ) Aerosoft only had the Box version which I haven't done in years and never will again. Is that the only way to get it from Flightsimlabs? If so, then once again; no thanks. Oh, for those patient enough to deal with their web site, it was on there for a couple bucks cheaper than Aerosofts site, I think $49. i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

December 25, 201114 yr Author Sorry Ken, but you get no shoulder to cry on with me. You're being allowed and urged to get your pilots license right now by your wife. Please let me know if you want to trade with what I bought myself. I most certainly will ;) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier

December 25, 201114 yr TrackIR 5, finally!Lol- i would have thought PMDG make those SOP..... Peter Osborn
December 25, 201114 yr $300... I haven't bought anything yet but I might buy the 600/700 series. I did buy battlefield 3 the other day so that could be considered a present to me.If I end up buying any thing fs related it will be either be some orbx stuff ( I don't own anything from them) or the 600/700 like I said before.
December 25, 201114 yr I can't believe that you've been flying without it. TrackIR and ezdok, or i wouldnt bother ngx-ing. PMDG crew seem pretty minimalist when it comes to hardware. Christmas: i got 4 uk2000 airports cos they're going cheap. Got antarctica x. Spent the week making some terrain to fly the ngx over - got about a third of the US done. And maybe some more late christmas presents coming whilst the fs-sales are on - maybe some more aerosoft scenery... December 25, 201114 yr Commercial Member Several of the other guys have TIR, I just didn't yet. We're not very big on home cockpit or multi-monitor stuff though - most of us are single monitor and a normal joystick. Part of it is probably that most of us are real life pilots (I'm the exception really as far as not being one) and it makes more sense to just spend money on real flight time instead of cockpit hardware and all that stuff. RSR has a Thrustmaster Warthog, that's about as crazy as it gets for hardware here. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 25, 201114 yr Concorde X! You may need a copilot :). That aircraft is too complex for me. Took me days to understand the fuel management, etc. Sagga Toure
December 25, 201114 yr I yielded to temptation and bought a number of sims, most of which were on sale, that have been on my "want" list for a little while:A2A Simulations Spitfire with AccusimIris C27J SpartanSibwings Safir XAerosoft Bronco XDodosim 206 Joel Murray @ CYVR (actually, somewhere about halfway between CYNJ and CZBB)
December 25, 201114 yr It doesn't make sense, flight time is expensive, hardware is cheap-ish (kind of), and rsr doesn't need to be getting more flight time anyway.Sorry guys, ngx is way more fun with a reasoable amount of gear. Im not talking about a 40k full pit, just enough hardware to get rid of that mouse. I guess thats why you guys have been playing bf3 - you dont realise how much fun the sim you made is.And joysticks??? Cmon, its not a friggin' airbus sim! Perhaps the forum community could start a collecton: donate money to 'buy PMDG a yoke'. I'll put in two bucks. Drop round sometime and try my ngx setup - i'm just up the road and will be in all afternoon.Happy christmas all!:) Oz Sim Rig: MSI RTX3090 Suprim, an old, partly-melted Intel 9900K @ 5GHz+, Honeycomb Alpha, Thrustmaster TPR Rudder, Warthog HOTAS, Reverb G2, Prosim 737 cockpit. December 25, 201114 yr Thrustmaster WarthogX-Plane 10BK-117 Helicopter add-on sim for XP10, its as good as if not better than the Dodosim is for FSX, especially when combined with the awesome XP10 weather effects. Not got time to write anything else, having too much fun! Cheers, Andy.
