From what I gather...It's mostly correct although it looks like the 777 will probably precede the Dash 8.

The Dash hasn't been mentioned in sometime, just the mysterious secret project...i hope it's a Russian Aircraft an il-62

I agree there has not been any mention of the Dash 8. I asked about it after Robert had made some announcements regarding forward movement after the 1st or 2nd patch of the NGX, but may be he did not see it. We'll just have to sit by and await patiently. then again, I thinkI remember reading that there was a separate team working this project.

The original plan as stated from PMDG was actually to have a team working on both the 777 and Dash 8 at the same time. I'm pretty sure that got stopped with the NGX release and then the needed patches. PMDG later stated that it was never stated there was going to be 2 teams haha. I watch, I read and I remember quite well. Anywho, I think with the demands that a 777 will "fly" with more than the Dash 8, at least initially. I look forward to both but the 777 in my name has no meaning to the aircraft. If it did, it would read 787. :wink:As for schedule goes, I hope it is as mentioned but it would be better if there was mention to the promised J41 SP before everyone forgets entirely about that and sweeps it under the rug.

Maybe I'm just flat wrong, but I was always under the impression that the 'Dash 8' was just a punny reference to the 747-8i expansion...

That was mentioned by PMDG as a joke as they unveiled the -8i, saying something along the lines of "Told you we were working on a Dash 8".They are two different projects though.

You could be right though, :D.I am eagerly looking at "a very rapid wind-up to completion once the NGX has been released." So, a month? 2? :LMAO:I guess we just need an announcement on what is going on, so peoples be happy

The secret project could be a 757. Of course it would not take over 6 years..

I Agree! I saw ur other topic and i agree! I would love a 777-200ER, -300ER, LR and F in my fsx! This august im moving to college where i can get an odd job and earn my own money to spend on these planes. I dream of doing the Deltat route to Dakar, the air france 777 route to south africa and the kenya 777 to nairobi! My guess is the 777 is not for this year or not until after june (optimistic). Remember for the ngx we just had that picture and it said coming soon and then 2 years later it came out. Because the technology is the same for the 777 and the 737 ngx, it might take just a year who knows i cant wait!Imagine using that with fsdt GSX??ps. how do i add a signature?

No offense, but did you stop to think about the market of people who would buy an IL-62? Don't get me wrong, I like older aircraft and aircraft that are more complex, but they won't even tackle an L-1011, and that's pretty well-known in this audience.

I imagine the target audience for Russian aircraft will be TINY, even the Russian captain sim don't do them.

I could see a small market for the Antonov freighters. After 9/11 I spent 8 months (national guard) at kggg watching the BIG one come in every few weeks to shuttle refitted chinooks to/from Singapore two at a time. that thing was huge, if I remember correctly without exaggerating I had a hard time seeing over the top of what appeared to be 500 tires. The tail was about as high as the control tower & if I were to stand in the intake duct on one of the engines I wouldn't be able to touch the spinner without a ladder. 6-yr national guard contract for the college money & I spent half of it on active duty, good times those... Got a few buddies I still keep in touch with & those are the closest, most loyal friends you could ever have. Doesn't matter what happens, 2 guys who spent 2-3 years in the kinds of crazy conditions you find yourself in on deployment will do anything for each other at the drop of a hat.
