January 9, 201214 yr Wow!FSIIFSIIIFS2004FS9FSXAll of those simulators and I've never been as happy as I'm with Prepar3d. The best part, no "cfg" tweaks at all with the following sceneries added:UTXGEXMegascenery: Norcal, SoCal, Vero NorCal, Reno, Hawaii, PhoenixThis is nuts. Crisp textures, color is awesome (read somewhere they tweaked the colors) and enjoying the sim. I would not call this FSX. I'll post some comparison screenshots tonight. FPS are waay up.Hat offs!Tim
January 10, 201214 yr I still have the Burries though... but better performance..never really understood how to remove themCheersSean Kind Regards, Sean McCormackFPSPLAYERS.COM Game and Voice Servers

January 10, 201214 yr Commercial Member Thought I would put my hand up and say how I am enjoying Prepar3d and that it hasn't crashed on me yet! I can see a real future in this simulation software.
January 10, 201214 yr Hi, I will be joining p3d in a few weeks or so.I hope at a better and smoother flight. But what I am looking for is the better part differences with fsx.I asked in the forum but what I suspected was an answer which you can find in the commercial part of there site.So maybe there is someone who knows the improvements comparing the fsx bugs. paula
January 10, 201214 yr I'll post some comparison screenshots tonight. FPS are waay up.Are they online already? I am curious how much difference there will be in screenshots. I haven't seen screenshots yet that made me go 'Wow, what a difference!'
January 10, 201214 yr Very positive news, I will take a very serious look once v2 is released. Mark CYYZ
January 11, 201214 yr This is nuts. Crisp textures, color is awesome (read somewhere they tweaked the colors) and enjoying the sim.I have a question for the P3D users!I am a fairly heavy accelerated time user - with a 3 month old in the house, the time I have to spend on a flight is drastically limited, and I often will get in the air, set up the autopilot, kick up to 8x or 16x speed, then return to more appropriate speeds once I get in range of my destination. With FSX as you might imagine, the view out the window is a blurry mess after a few short minutes of flying at high acceleration rates.I wouldn't expect P3D to cure this type of behaviour, but can anyone weigh in on how much of an impact accelerated time has on the blurriness factor, or perhaps how quickly P3D recovers from such blurries as compared to FSX? I'm not expecting miracles, just honest answers.Cheers,-Greg
January 11, 201214 yr I don't believe P3D is going to recover significantly better. But - you DO know there is a function called "Texture Refresh" in FSX options, for which you can assign a key (I've got Shift+T ironically) and use it in the blurry mess. Granted, takes a bit to load everything, but better than waiting it out.
January 11, 201214 yr But - you DO know there is a function called "Texture Refresh" in FSX options...I do now!Thanks,-Greg
