January 20, 201214 yr Mr. Wilby,I have had similar problems with triangles in my scenery. On my system it was related to a corrupted video driver. I replaced the driver with latest from Nvidia and the problem went away.Bill Bridges I Earned My Spurs in Vietnam
January 20, 201214 yr Commercial Member Yeah, I was about to say similar. If only certain people are having these problems, it's likely more related to a computing issue than an issue with code. Stronger code might be able to solve it (which I believe PMDG has also mentioned), but it could also be a hardware/driver/computer issue.Basically:Make sure it's not a problem of your own before roasting someone else. My computer displays it all just fine (even this one that I'm typing on ran it fine, which is by no means a gaming PC, though the new one is, and it also runs it just fine). That being said, it's worth investigating to see if it's not something on your end.My ASE isn't properly updating the weather in FSX since I networked my PCs. Should I run off yelling at Hi-Fi and Jim because I followed their manual to the book and it still doesn't work? Nope. Involve them in the process and see if you can't work to find the end answer. Alienating them (and the forum community) won't get you anywhere. If anything, it gets you more enemies, and at that point, you're worse off. Kyle Rodgers
January 21, 201214 yr Author Gentlemen, thanks for your input.I'm not so grateful for the additional comments that can only serve to direct this thread back down the toilet. If you can help, then please do so... but please don't try to admonish, I'm not a naughty child.I've done my best to lead this thread back in the right direction, some of those comments are counterproductive to that. The admonishmnet is even more out of place if you read the third post up from the bottom on page one. I speak my mind, if I think a product is good i will say so, if I think a product is bad i will say so. I will also say so if I have misjudged.Well I have... to a degree.I have the latest driver, and no other issues running any add-on, or software on my system. My system is thoroughly stress tested. I have tried different drivers. The issue you mention is but one, relating to the view through the cockpit window, didn't appear from the external view. And if you read the thread you will see, it can be fixed by hitting alt enter it's not currently the main issue. The primary issue is the constantly flickering panel around the PFD etc...Which PMDG admit is an issue and tell us higher res is the possible fix.As I said previously, you will see that I have a new monitor on the way, and with the greater FPS latitude i now have, [read previous posts] the increased native resolution may help.As I'm an old codger, I've been building PC's for many years. I'm not inexperienced. But I appreciate the suggestions anyway.P.S. If you wish to contribute further, then I would really appreciate it if you did so, minus the attempted admonishment. I'm trying to keep any further contributions mature and friendly. It's better for me amd better for everyone. Edited January 21, 201214 yr by martin-w
January 21, 201214 yr Also little long triangles emerging from don't know where and crossing the virtual cockpit sometimes. Latest Nvidia graphics drivers 580, i7 2600k windows 7 64bits. All other planes goes perfect and smooth. The Jetstream sometimes drop fps. NGX goes perfect.Saw a reply from PMDG about the SP2. They say the flashing textures are from fsx.... January 21, 201214 yr Author Did you try without icing, medium of low in the VC?The triangles, or in my case triangle, has not reappeared, it's not my primary issue. the white flashing lines around my PFD, spoiler arm switch and other areas is.The flashing textures may be related to FSX, but I don't get that in any other add-on I own. January 21, 201214 yr Author I always fly in full screen mode Bill.give me a second and I'll check in windows mode...And call me Martin. :( Edited January 21, 201214 yr by martin-w
January 21, 201214 yr Author Just checked Bill, it's there in Windows mode and full screen, there in both.I really appreciate your attempt to assist.:(
January 21, 201214 yr In my case I don't have still the flashing textures.... the triangles comes in window mode 5040x1050 Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
January 21, 201214 yr the triangles comes in window mode 5040x1050Windowed mode at such a resolution can cause all sorts of issue, but seeing you're running at my old res, I am guessing you're using an older Matrox Triplehead2Go? If so, download the latest (and finally working) firmware. It allows the higher resolution now of 5760x1080 (3x 1920x1080). It's a more native resolution and corrected some annomolies with me in running some Adobe products. I'm skeptical if it would help with your issue though, since that is a DirectX window environment, but the higher res is great, and no dll hacks needed like the old 5040x1050.So if you're using the Matrox unit, check this out. January 22, 201214 yr Mmm but I think the maximum resolution is already the 5040 because yes.. one of my monitors can handle 1960, but others not..Well.. using that resolution is not a problem at all in other planes, games.. or whatever....will take a look. Thanks Javier Rollon. Owner of JRollon Planes for Xplane
January 22, 201214 yr . one of my monitors can handle 1960, but others notAhh, ok. Yes, in that case then, and if the others cannot at least do 1920, then it would not work. Congrats also, since getting the 5040x1050 to work on monitors that aren't the same is a chore in its own! :) i9 10920x @ 4.8 ~ MSI Creator x299 ~ 256 Gb 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Royal ~ EVGA RTX 3090ti ~ Sim drive = M.2 2-TB ~ OS drive = M.2 is 512-gb ~ 5 other Samsung Pro/Evo mix SSD's ~ EVGA 1600w ~ Win 10 Pro Dan Prunier
January 22, 201214 yr It's worth noting that the graphical anomalies (flashing rectangles etc) that can be seen at times in the Jetstream 4100 are also an intermittent problem with the Captain Sim Boeing 707. However, the solution for the latter is to remove the detailed 3D cabin. That being the case, could this be a graphics memory issue? I have a 1GB GeForce GTX 560Ti, but the 707 still suffers from that problem at times when the 3D cabin is enabled. Interesting theory on the graphics card memory Chris.I have a GTX580 also 1 GB.In which case, if your theory is valid, I wonder if a bufferpool setting of some kind would help?
