I hope you're not refering to my response...as it was clearly a poke in the ribs - no disrespect ment, if any taken.

I'm not going to whittle the herd down one by one to make it obvious to people who it was aimed at, but I will say that I'd have to be quite a scrooge to not appreciate a Gary Coleman reference.

The fan boys will deny this all day long but it just does not look right.

The i-Fly NG gets it closer to be honest, hard to accept for many but the truth non the less.

Totally True !

The window size of the NGX is wrong, it might be correct as far as the boeing blueprints are concerned but it turns out wrong in the Sim.

As a real NG pilot using NGX I haven't noticed anything wrong in this regard. I'm just wondering what you mean by wrong, does it impact the way you need to operate NGX or is it a perception thing?

FWIW, there are so many variables related to perception. For example, I have noticed from many youtube vids that a lot of folks have their zoom settings very different from mine - displaying the PFD, ND and Upper CDU in one screen. Personal opinion: I find the most realistic perspective is TrackIR and with a zoom of about 0.90, this should fit the PFD and ND in with head movement needed to view any other part of the flight deck. I'm not saying one way is better than the other, just that for me, that replicates the real life perspective best.

I have actually noticed this as well but never wanted to jump into the heated discussions. I'm really glad this is going to be fixed with SP2.

By the way, I'm not a pilot but I've been sitting on the cpt and f/o seat of many different 738's to tell you that IN MY OPINION, it's still noticeable when you sit up front instead of taking a photo from the jumpseat or flight deck door angle.

I hope I can make a couple photos in 2 weeks when sitting on the NG again, wish me luck!

Oh and Josua... Grats buddy, haha!

Dear PMDG,

I sat in front of my computer today and took off from my local airport to Tenerife. The flight was a good flight with wind behind me and no problems. I called the FS2Crew stewardess and asked for a coffee but she never appeared next to me. I landed in my destination airport with a dry mouth and opened my door. For some reason I was still at home not in the Tenerife sunshine.

It seems that your simulation is not 100% accurate because the windows size is not correct. Or it could be because I am sat in front of a PC looking at a very good 3D rendition of a Boeing 737 aircraft on a 2D monitor. All this is sat my room and plugged into the mains power socket, not a real 737.

Yeah. Let me prepare a speech.

Oh my! Can't wait. Something tells me it won't be an apologetic speech. :Sleepy:

Sorry To bring back this topic !

So guy's you still think I was stupid to ask about this subject ? Not anymore after reading that right ?

My 2 cent's !

Haha! good find. honestly guys it was just a simple (and technically correct) observation, why are you guys giving him a hard time?

Real world CPL holder.

I can't believe I even considered this during a flight today, but I noticed that the height of the checklist clip is just about the same as the height between the top of the combing and the top of the number 1 window above the system annunciation panel (real aircraft). These dimensions appear to be exactly the same in NGX.

There you go, objective proof, NGX has it bang on and any views to the contrary are just an inaccurate sense of perception :)

Screenie so you can easily see what I mean:

"We're planning to revisit this in the NGX as well for SP2, so don't be surprised if the dimensions change a bit there too - it will be quite a noticeable change for people used to the view you get currently in SP1c." - Ryan Maziarz

Thanks Ahmed for the support ! ;)

Some of you guy's don't understand that the dimensions were NOT correct ! Even PMDG guy's did an audit on that and corrected it for the next 737NGX SP2 and for the coming 777..

Before posting (stupid) things about seating in front of a computer or 3D rendition, you should read the links provided where Ryan (from PMDG) explains that they were wrong about this point ! It's obvious... you still continue to deny it.

Well, congratulations on being proven correct. How about being gracious and let it drop now... ^_^

I don't understand and am posting stupid stuff? That's nice ;) I'm telling you about direct personal observation of a comparison between the real aircraft and NGX. For some crazy reason I thought it relevant input, more fool me :D
