Hello,It saddens me to see that simsavvy has closed its website. It looks as if Larry has thrown in the towel.I was one of his first customers in 2009. Larry has achieved something outstanding and unique; the entire US at a 1 m resolution. Every time I fly I am amazed at the quality of the scenery. Unfortunately it did not get the success it deserves and the drive shortage was the last straw. I hope that Larry will recover from his current hard times.

Couldn't this be just a temporary issue? I saw some news on the Avsim front page lately, so I doubt that the company goes offline silently.

That´s strange. On the Asvim front page it´s written that they can now serve the X-plane users. That doesn´t make much sense to announce that and close the doors 4 days after.

Out of the blue. Where did they host their stuff? Some companies followed that Megaupload shutdown which of course included legally hosted software. However, a short note 'we're back soon' would surely clear things up.

Hi,Yeah, it's a shame Larry wasn't able to get things together. I just wish I would of gotten what I paid for, only got two updates from the 50cm mailings. The multi-user mailings never made it to me, users either kept the drives for an extended period of time before mailing them to the next person and/or the drives got lost/stolen/damaged.I ended up with just two 50cm updates, kinda makes me feel like I got taken. I even offered to send Larry my hard drive with return postage paid, but never received an answer to my request.

Hi,I've been hosting his online forum and its available via the following link. http://www.tbta-soba.com/Sim-Savvy/I did this for him, when he asked for help, I'll keep the forum online unless Larry tells me to take it down. I hope someday in the future, I'll be able to get (50cm upgrade) what I paid for.
