HUD shifting away

Featured Replies

Hi guys,I´ve got a very anoying "problem" with the NGX HUD: I most turns, the HUD will shift slightly to the side to which the turn was made and I have to shift my eyepoint a notch towards this side to get it back. It occurs in the air and on ground. Has someone an idea how to prevent that?Btw, I shifted my eyepoint a bit back, could this be the problem in here?

Best regards, Steffen

Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h

You´ll have to have a zoom factor around 70. I have it on 70 myself andalso move your body forward, using the arrow on your keyboard.I have saved that preset when departure/landing in EZCA/ Leffe

Yea i get the smae problem its ok in straight and level flying but when banking the view changes, and when it levels out have to reset the view to the centre again no drama only takes a sec to move the eye point view to the centre of the hud

Hi Steffen, the problem is not that the HUD is shiftig, but that your viewpoint is. So you can either disable the G-effects or you can move closer towards the HUD so that there's more space in which it can change without getting out of the projection.

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

Sadly, disabling g effects will not overcome the problem of the eyepoint moving as the aircraft turns. It's an FSX bug, usually barely noticeable but the HUD makes it much more obvious.

Move your body to the right.
That's is my opinion too.

Yeah, its annoying. Its probably the most important reason why I prefer 2d panels over the VC, I hate when the clickpoint moves and i have to move my mouse again to be able to interact with the knob or whatever I was using. Thats not realism
