February 4, 201214 yr Commercial Member Don't get hung up on acceleration altitudes etc.. - do what is necessary to meet the required performance for the procedure. :)Best regards,Robin.

February 4, 201214 yr Bernie, (circletoland) had said that this was his first attempt at making an NGX video and that he knew that is not accurate.I hope he is doing well with Canadian Airlines. Have not seen him on here for a while.Fred. Frederic Steiner.
February 4, 201214 yr Nothing much in that transavia movie. The camera was pointed on terrain outside the plane nearly for the whole approach. They started the left turn for visual at 4500ft and had minimums callout just before the turn...so they had 4600 set for minimums. After left turn descend 3700 and other stuff isn't hard if you make landing procedure and checklist before 3rd turn.

February 5, 201214 yr @Ryan.I watched the 1 hour footage a few times and this is the most info that I could get from it.EHAM - LOWI........general route is Amsterdam-Frankfurt-Nuremburg-Munich-Rattenberg-Innsbruck.Passengers - 103Fuel - 16,720 lbsBaggage - 4,720 lbsCruise Altitude - 25,000 ftAfter the right turn at RTT (9,500 ft), Gear Down/Flaps 30......Autobrakes 3Localizer approach until reaching 4,500 ft (minimums callout) and then break off to the left heading 229..........Changed heading to 264 at 3,700 ft until the autopilot was disengaged. Then began a nice smooth turn to land on RW08.( Missed Approach Altitude - 4,600 ft )If I pick up on anymore info, I will post it here.Hope this is of some little help.Fred. February 5, 201214 yr Author Commercial Member I flew the approach a bunch tonight - it seems like flaps 5 at RTT and then flaps 15 and gear down once on the downwind leg over the ridge south of the airport works pretty well. Flaps 30 in the turn and then flaps 40 on short final. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
February 5, 201214 yr Not to tell ya how to to do your job Ryan but have you posted this request on PPRune or something similar?I'm pretty sure you'd get at least a PM or two regarding the procedure, and probably a quick peek at some specific procedural SOP's for the area from some specific carriers... Flaps 30 in the turn and then flaps 40 on short final. That is because the forgiveness or other will say bad simulation of FSX. You can even descent with 140-160kts without Gear down but in real world it's impossible and I can understand that Ryan want to make a tutorial as real as it is.
February 5, 201214 yr yea bernie had excelleant videos but some people seem to disagree with his videos havnt seen him for awhile now guess his too busy flying the real thing.yea i agree dont see much at allI think some of you missed the point. Ryan want to make a tutorial with the real configuration for a 737NG and I understand perfectly that he don't want to believe me on my blue eyes and want to check first before given incorrect tutorial info to you. All that specific 737NG config information is in the WAR Transavia movie I mentioned and is double checked by Fred who is also a former ATPLér and now 737 trainer as I understand correctly. The funny thing is that I have had Hugh discussion here about my Youtube video's that I was showing too much surrounding area (by purpose because my animation was based on my own experience AND the WAR Transavia movie and I wanted to show MORE so fellow simmers good make a good preparation and orientation of the visual reference points because it is 100% a visual approach) Thx to that, the Vatsim Weekly Austrian Wednesday gives a more crowded sky over LOWI these days with lots of online practicing pilots and is given automaticly interesting holding and go around situations which make the flight simulation more realistic. So, for the LOC/DME East approach for RW08 and visual reference points you can familiarize your self on my Youtube channel with the 767 (part 4) and all the real world 737-800 config info is already given in these topic by me and Fred and based on the real world Transavia movie. The final step as a official PMDG 737NGX Tutorial is in the hands of Ryan now. Edited February 5, 201214 yr by simba_nl
February 5, 201214 yr Just want to mention that the LOC course in FSX and "approaching LOWI" is incorrect, cause meanwhile 254°. Also the (standby/reference) glideslope seems to be missalligned, it should snap ~ 18,2 DME OEV, but it doesn't.Would appreciate an Aerosoft update.
February 5, 201214 yr Did the old KPT1Z dep from there today and that right turn from 08 after AB with max 154knots was problematic because of Active Sky E. Bumbing between 150-180knots all the time :-) looking forward to the tutorial 2/Michael Michael Moe
February 6, 201214 yr Good evening from N.Y. Actually I´m not a "rated" LOWI Pilot, so all I did in my circletoland 08 video is unconfirmed and probably not 100% correct. I will send an email to a friend who is 737 examiner and our "company - Innsbruck - dude"... He will for sure pass me some information's on the correct way to fly this approach. CallYa back.Cheers,Berni
