March 6, 201214 yr Hello all.Not to dig up an old topic but I bought the Wilco 737 EVO2 and for the 15 bucks extra I grabbed the repaints. Terrible, just terrible. I have done a total of 2 flights with it and cannot fly it again. The VC is "alright" but they could have used higher quality textures, but I guess im just spoiled by the PMDG. The winglet variation of the model in inaccurate, when you look at the Southwest repaint near the winglets the texture doesnt even cover the entire surface because the winglet is too wide. They used the same gauges as in the 06 version, the same .AIR file from 06 and the "Ultra realistic highdef soundset" sounds like the 06 version with the FSX sound cone added. Not to rant on and on but I am just so frustrated with this purchase. The majority of the community on facebook agreed and suggested to them to fix their obvious model issues but for 2 months they made no comments regarding it. Too bad for their company and it is sad to see they are making the CRJ also but hopefully they have learned their lesson.Take a look at these pictures, to me it looks like the nose is off a bit but I guess we fly with the systems right?
March 6, 201214 yr I'm confused as to the major differences between the 900 and the 1000....10 extra passengars? does anyone know? Happy Flying! intel i5 2320 @ 3GHz ~ XFX HD7870 2GB Dual ~ 6 GB Ram DDR3 ~ 64GB SSD ~ 500GB HD ~ TR2 600W Thermaltake PSU ~ Saitek X45
March 30, 201214 yr Ok.... Little confused??? What does Q2 mean? Here we go again. I had high hopes that they'd stick to their dates on this one. Lets all keep our fingers crossed and hope this doesn't turn into a PMDG737X Three year waiting period :( And if it indeed does being that its Wilco minus feelthere produced, is it going to be worth it? Hmmmm :(

Would you rather have had PMDG release it's NGX broken without it's current feature set a year early? :( This new CRJ could go either way. I'm sure I'll be purchasing it. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules

Lets keep hoping for the best and thanks for enlightening me on my question!
May 1, 201214 yr Nonsense, I own both, can look at both models in FSX, and EVO is better, I didn't buy it because of people saying things like this, but looking at some youtube clips I got suspicious and finally did buy it, there is NO reason I'm sorry about it. There is NO finer 300/400/500 out there, I've flown it multiple flights now and had no problems. Its not PMDG, that's true, but its sure an improvement over a quickly imported FS2004 product that I think the first one was. Making exaggerated claims like this hurts a provider to our hobby and ultimately hurts us all. I'm not saying there's no flaws, or things to dislike about it, but its still an improvement and I'm happy Wilco published it. PS Oh, and I should add, the frame rate on the EVO is amazing, much better rates than I get even with PMDG, that's an unexpected plus :) I agree with everything that has been said here. The old version of 737 PIC that I have from Just Flight but is still a Wilco/Feelthere project has been uninstalled more than once until I got the EVO version. The original FS9 port over does not have true FSX model files and the frame rate on My i7 950 at 3850 Mhz with a EVGA GTX 570SC frame rate is not even close to the EVO on my 3 monitor setup. The EVO provides smooth flowing video and looks great inside and out so I have absolutely no complaints about the EVO. You must be one picky person, to find it so distasteful!

May 1, 201214 yr Lets see how they do. I've got one eye on that one and the other one on the Aerosoft plane.
May 1, 201214 yr Its easy to take something and put it into its worst light and then triumphantly say "Its just there in the pictures", the flipping media do it all the time. So, why not look at my pictures (sorry, not sure how to embed them, so they are indirect. First is version 1: http://i1003.photobu...53-12-713-1.jpg And now EVO: http://i1003.photobu...9-25-17-965.jpg Now compare a similar shot of the two VC, first the old one: http://i1003.photobu...9-29-33-926.jpg Notice the checklist on the yoke, see how you can't make it out, its called "two few pixels" for the resolution. And now the new one: http://i1003.photobu...0-49-42-144.jpg Notice here you can make out the checklist quite crisply, also look at the instruments see the improved 3D nature of them, and how crisp they are. That's ALSO called more pixels. A good livery can make worlds difference I agree, I don't use BA and have no idea who did it, if we got McPhat to do some liveries for these models they would make it stand out even more. Nevertheless, I stand by what I said, MORE pixels, clearly cockpit, and the SWA livery looks improved to me, it also has sharper details by having the higher resolution. Again, I find myself in total agreement and will never reinstall the FS9 portover again. I certainly find it very diffucult to see how one can not like that crisp clean cockpit, I wonder how you can even begin to say the old version is better with reference to these shots that look exactly as I see it on my machine!
May 1, 201214 yr You must be living on very different planet to. You say this then do the same  all I did was show to pictures of the same livery and both livery's came from Wilco, I didn't edit them or do anything else so I could be so triumph in my views. I'm guessing you now feel triumphantly great after showing your pictures, it must be easy in life not worrying about contradiction. You like it I don't and I never will because its trash and I own the Level-d 767, PMDG NGX, PMDG MD11 these 3 alone will always stop me from using junk, same reason why I don't watch TV on 20 year Television while my big and beautiful flat screen is turned off. Yes I own the PMDG 747X, PMDG MD11X and Flight Sim Labs Concorde for FSX and they are beautiful on one monitor but try runing VC on monitor one, Locked Spot Plane on the second and instrumentation on the third and it all comes to a crawl over any city of some size. Ok, so I am running UTX, GEX, Rex 2.0 and FS Global Ultimate, the America's, and have the other 2 version's installed but turned off in the scenery library to only load when I want to fly in that area. The point is that I have the most realistic scenery I have ever had the joy of flying over and yes this is my personal pref but it is what is most important to me so I am happy to be able to take something like the 737 EVO and get great frame rates with smooth liquid flowing video via the GTX 570SC feeding monitors one and two and a GTX 285 feeding the third monitor. Video cards are in x16 and x8 slots on EVGA mobo. Video cards are non SLI and it is the best I have ever seen since the days of MSFS dos 5.0 version. I can spend the rest of my life with this and still not see all that I would like to see in this most realistic world ever seen by me. Oh by the way, I love my 46 inch Samsung LED 3D tv and 3D bluray player that is all networked together and provides direct access to internet or streaming from my i7 950. It all really kicks butt and 3d is totally awesome. The ultimate point is what works for one person may be totally different to what is required to meet your expectations. I am a retired Avionics Engineer/IT guy and have been a licensed Private Pilot since 1978. Just thought I would point out that I think I am qualified to make these observations after many years of dedication to the hobby.
May 1, 201214 yr Been said before and are say it again, if you like it then that's great for you. It is however rather funny and predictable that certain people feel the need to come to forums to justify the junk they paid for in order I suspect to feel better about such a waste of money and being rather foolish to pay out for it in the first place. I love the PMDG 737 I don't mind telling you but I have never felt the need to justify that love. :Nail Biting:
May 4, 201214 yr Sawyer, That's pretty mean. The guy is actually mainly responding to other posts that quoted him.... which is fair enough. There is no need to make it so personal and nasty as to to suggest he's "trying to justify not being an idiot for purchasing it". I just kept to my original opinion which is just an honest view on a subject, If any onybody wishes to quote me months later on that opinion then that person should expect a reply that fits my views. I dont wish to be mean but I also don't wish to wrap people up in cotton wool.
May 4, 201214 yr I think he mainly pointed out that you can disagree with other individuals without calling them idiots and covering that up as "honest view". To be honest, the plane isn't even released yet.
