February 7, 201214 yr Hello all.Another repititive topic, forgive me for that. 4 payware aircraft add ons I have owned since 4 years ago, the legendary pmdg ng's, the pmdg's queens, Ifly and the last one is the infamous md 11.I finally have some spare budget to buy a new stuff to add depth to my old n tired fs9. I've been saving some to welcome pmdg's 777, but you know how the story goes.. So, I'm thinking to look elsewhere, UT asia crossed in my mind yet as I search on the inet, it is still no avail. I also thought about buying wilco evo 2, but I don't wanna ruin the mood by reading people's thoughts about it. Now I am aware that level d 767 has some good reputation, the review seems promising, and the youtube videos are also tempting. I love reading reviews eventhough I don't own the product, read it again and again. What I'd like to ask is, if I enjoy flying the queens and listening to the ifly's sound package (updated version), and admiring pmdg md11's superb quality, will I also fall in love with 767? I know I am a bit outdated, but I can't afford a new system for fsx and at the same time, starting all over again buying stuffs for fsx. I'm also a cargo lover at heart, I read in some of forums that cargo is not supported. In fact, one of the reasons the leveld popped up in my mind is an article says that JAL (or ANA? I aint really sure) has ordered 4 767 freighters and one of them is to be delivered early this year. Inputs from leveld owners would be very much helpfulI couldve posted this in their support forum, but I am expecting to have fair opinions in general.Thank you in advance.RegardsColtrane Edited February 7, 201214 yr by Reason
February 7, 201214 yr The Level D 767 is a very good add-on aircraft if you like older type glass cockpits. It has a very good FMC simulation, and all the things you'd expect to work on a flight deck are functional. In its day it was the best, but although the PMDG 737 surpasses it. The virtual cockpit is almost fully functional, but many of the swtiches and dials and are FS9ish, represented by 2D images rather than 3D modelled switches. The update from the FS9 version to the FSX version was a disappointment, adding nothing new. There have also a been a few issues with video card compatibility that were never resolved. Basically, the Level D is a great add-on but its showing its age. It is not a new product indeed. However, can you be more specific about those fs9ish switches and dials? Thanx again
February 7, 201214 yr In vc the overhead is a flat panel, no switches "popping" out as the ifly for example. (except the light switches i believe). Its a great aircraft, but since you own the queen, i probably wouldnt invest in it, but thats just a personal opinion.( Thats nkt to say its not a good aircraft, just if you own the queen i dont really see a need for the 67) Edited February 7, 201214 yr by flyinpilot212121 Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

Thank you for the input. Fs9ers are having lesser options these days aren't we

February 7, 201214 yr Level-d 767 is one of the best add-on ever produced. Its only default is to be slightly out-dated, from a visual standpoint. Apart from that, no bug, perfect modelling of FMC and systems, very good FDE, plenty of liveries, support, etc...Ghiom
February 7, 201214 yr It is flawless, it works everytime, from departure to arrival. Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.

I know I agree.

I use the level d with fs2crew voice commander, topcat and turbine sound studios, that's a great mix. topcat is so accurate with the level d, i know it's not a fuel calculator, but it is also very accurate and the real bird is also one of the best airplanes ever made, if you are a dogfreighter you know it's one of the most popular aircrafts for cargo airlines, is perfect for long and medium range with a great load capacity.

Only thing that irks me is the 2D CDU.... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
February 8, 201214 yr What Ghiom said. If you're looking for a jetliner for longer flights, and you like the iFly B737 or the PMDG B737 for FSX, you can't go wrong with the Level-D for long range flight. February 8, 201214 yr There's the DA Fokker 70/100 is you like little bounces around the country, no VC tho. She's a good 'un, the little Fokker! (I never get sick of this :( )Cheers, SLuggy I do not have a signature. Why are you reading this?
February 8, 201214 yr Hi,I agree - got it when it first came out (5 years ago?) for fs9 then upgraded for $15 for FSX.It is very nice, really no issues, but because its not the newest addon around, it is, of course showing its age.I think you will enjoy it, if you want a full on 767. There are other options such as Captain Sim, but don't have it, so cant comment. Also, you said you are waiting for the PMDG 777, that will be for FSX. I have not read all your other posts, but do you have FSX? Perhaps, you may want to invest in that first if you have not yet already. Brent Lewis
