Hey guys, I have a few questions about the NGX, mainly based on what your personal preference is :)So, what do you do during the cruise, do you keep a watchful eye over the NGX incase you should encounter turbulence, or do you wonder off and then return when you are about to reach T/D?Where abouts do you position yourself in the cockpit? Do you like to be in the captains side, or the First officers side? Personally just lately I have been flying in the f/o's side for a change? How do you position your camera angle in the cockpit? Do you like to be right close up to the cockpit window? Do you liek to be right back in the seat so you can see the flight yoke? Do you like to be able to see the nose of the aircraft?IS there anything new you have discovered about the NGX in a recent flight which you didn't know before?Thought this would be interesting to share some thoughts on :DKind Regards,Danny

???Art, I'm not sure you understand humor, my friend! (minus #4)To answer several of your questions; I've discovered recently that if you abuse the nose wheel, it breaks! As for the watchful eye: It depends. With the NGX I hand fly up to 10,000' when able. Once level for cruise, I go about my chores around the house, checking in every 15 to 30 minutes if able.

???? to Zach.

I alt-tab and browse the internet when I'm cruising. I check back every once in a while to make sure I didn't crash in the middle of the countryside.

Jim, I always look foreward to your humor here on Avsim. It's such a nice break from the norm....Please don't change a thing.JB

Yeah... If you have Track IR and you can twist your head around and upside down to look under the Captains Seat from behind (Where the jumpseat is), you will see a book. Click on the book and a popup will reveal all of the upcoming secret projects from PMDG. If you can get your mouse under the book, theres a transparent clickspot that will reveal an "Evite" to Roberts T7 release party in 2014. Unfortunately the party is BYOB.JB

Thanks!!

I always sit sit in captains sit and rarely change the view to something else. After take off I usually hand fly to 5-10k feet, sometimes even higher, and then turn on the A/P. After that I usually keep a steady eye on for a plane climbs and when it enters cruise mode I would solve some Sudoku puzzles, read a book, listen to some music (rarely) and that's pretty much it. When it reaches the point where the plane should begin to descent, I again keep a steady eye on it and regain full control before final approach. My captains camera is positioned so that I could see all PFD+ND are visible.

That's pretty much my SOP as well, otherwise, I'd never get anything done.
