Installing Flight on D:\

Featured Replies

Hi all !By default, "Flight" is installed in c:\program files(x86) .If, as me, you want to install it on another disk (D:\Flight or whatever), you have to modify your "Settings" in Game for Windows Marketplace. There, you can choose the place to download, the place to install the "game", the places for videos and add-ons.I you have installed "Flight" before this operation, you must uninstall it in Windows Control Panel, then uninstall it in GfW Marketplace, then re-download it ...Hope this helpsPierre LFBE

Yes I ran into this last night and had to download it all over again, and the download ended up taking twice as long the second time round! I've got Flight on my G:/ drive, and I've put the DLC and Downloads in G:/Xlive/.Thanks for the info!

Yeh I had to do that too, grrr

Indeed! This way all other Windows Live games titles, if any, will install in the specified directory. However it is also possible to select the directory before the installation.

You mean 'during the installation' or actually before running the installer...? I really need MS Flight to be on my D drive!!!

I didn't pay much attention, but there SHOULD have been a screen during the installation process where it asked where to install the program. If you need it there, repeat the installation, going slowly through each screen.

Just downloaded the installer and ran it: the very first screen lets you choose the directory where you want to install MS Flight.

I didn't get that directory selection screen at all, Just select your language then the UAC pop up and away she went.

When you get into the market place try goin into your settings .sfuqtz.jpg

Odd. My file was called gfwlivesetup_4d5308d2e0000001_DIR.exe The path selection was above the language selectiion...

There are 2 types of installers, one from windows marketplace and one from the Flight page, this last one is a direct installer..

Ahy, that's it then. I did setup GFWL to install stuff in other then the default folders but I downloaded the installer from the Flight site and installed the game on another drive.

You can move the whole Flight directory over to another drive.I did that to recover from having installed it on the wrong drive to begin with..Seems to work fine after the move.
