A PMDG A320 to A340?

Featured Replies

I know it's been asked about before. But it's been a while and putting the question again. It would be great if there ever was a PMDG full on effort on an A320. As we all know the Airbus factor is the other side of the equation of the overall airliner industry worldwide. The systems are so automated and restricted, and what's currently out there very outdated in terms of graphics and buggy and hardly updated, it would be wonderful to see a PMDG A320. Many of the modern public aviation incidents involve Airbus planes. Like the pilots who fell asleep over Minneapolis and not starting the systems' decent phase in time, or Cpt. Sully landing in the Hudson. The privately owned A340 smashed into a wall on the ground because the people in the cockpit accidently set off the automated thrust and didn't know how to abort it in time.So just a re-mention. Thanks.

I think FSLabs is doing an A320 to PMDG standards. Try there. Two thoughts:

  1. Boeing may not be as open to PMDG if they go and work on an A3XX.
  2. Airbus (from what I've read) isn't exactly open to just giving out performance information (read: realism) so any product PMDG may come out with wouldn't be as real as it can get.

I think Airsimmer plans to release their FSX version this year, any one who owns the FS9 version?

Ships are cooler that you think.

I have a feeling, that they will never relase the advanced version... :(

Reading a lot of your posts ace ridgey I do sometimes question your age... I'm the main tech support guy at airsimmer, the advanced is coming along well and is pretty much all I fly now except the MD11Regarding an fsx version, personally I would think FSLABS will be out first. Regards

Rob: Come on now. Airsimmer advanced was promised as soon as 2008 and there is hardly any news (apart from occasional "we are building it"). You can hardly blame people from not counting on Airsimmer.

I am not asking or telling anyone to 'count on airsimmer' I joined as tech support a year ago to help restructure and clear up the mess. If you have known me round here long enough you would know I wouldn't go anywhere near an FS developer unless they had a serious study sim.Even the basic is study sim quality yet most people dont know it. I have been flying the advanced for 9 months now, made a full flight video from LGAV to LIMC for customers last month, I have no major problems with it however they won't release it till they are 100% happy and not on anyone else's timescale.Anyway, I come here to talk/learn about PMDG products so I'll leave you guys to it.Regards

I'm looking forward to the airsimmer A320 (and hopefully the rest if the series (as I'm enjoying the basic, I've had no issues), thanks for your continuing efforts Flex :-)Anywho, I can't see there being a PMDG 320 anytime soon, although it would be amazing but I'm happy for them to stick to Boeing's for now :)

I do hope so. We need a superb quality A320 representation in FSX.Still, we'll have to see what FSLabs will come up with.

Rob i think your comment was a little unfair, you can question all you want, but promises and absoltuley shocking customer support for years is all I have seen/heard of, and yes the FSX was promised years and years ago, all they have is a basic fs2004 version. Thats why I put lol, as people are putting their eggs in the wrong basket. Another developer is doing a A320 with much more promise
