If you are going to pay for AI then you can't beat Ultimate Traffic. Made with the best looking and performing models using real-world flight plans. You can assemble your own using equivalent freeware (Aardvark, AIG, The Fruit Stand, etc.), but it takes time.

If one ignores the lack of undercarriage, it's actually quite a nice landing.

Forgot to mention, my last list was all freeware except for REX. You can also get World of AI for traffic for free. http://www.world-of-ai.com/

World of AI all the way, it has great models, you populate your airports, and its free!

What you need to decide is where you want to fly! Buying everything all over the world is going to cost you a small fortune... I suggest you start with a region or two, depending what and where/to you wanna fly. Those general addons, like weather, ai, shade etc you can buy at once, since they apply everywhere.

MTX offers more airlines, more schedules, and slightly better performance. It's subjective...

If you like low and slow, then ORBX is a must. If you like high and fast, then UTX, GEX and the airports in the areas and cities you like, if available. A good mesh and REX or AS2012 are essential, as is a major traffic program. I like UT2. Only the sky is the limit.Kind regards,

So if you have Ground Environment X, is Ultimate Terrain X really needed? UTX sounds like stuff they were too lazy to put into GEX, or separated on purpose to earn more money.

Do I understand correctly that normal REX 2.0 is about 3.4gigs and it has a free HD pack that is an additional 9gigs?!Also, general airport question...when you buy a ~$30 airport what exactly are you getting? Seems rather expensive, why do they cost so much? I've searched for before and after pics but come up empty.

GEX = textures (not where they are placed, just texture-replacements)UTX = no textures, but where are textures placed (basically, there are some textures in UTX I think)Both are needed for successful depiction.

My installed REX is 13,8GB.Depending on the airport. You have to look at the screenshots. In case of some quality addon developers, like UK2000, Flytampa, FSDT, Aerosoft, you get pretty much high detailed airports as they are in real life. Why not visit an official website to look at screenshots? You are hardly going to find before-after comparisons, since default airports suck anyway, so why do a comparison?

SimSavvy adds photo scenery for the lower 48 states. Once you have this, you will not want anything else. However, I installed a internal 2TB drive to hold all this photo scenery!

And by placing photoscenery on a separate drive, how do you make FSX sees that drive to use that scenery? Say I have and SSD dedicated for FSX and would like to place Megascenery on a separate drive; how do you achieve FSX to see that software to use it? I have about 80Gb of Megascenery and takes a lot of space on my SSD.
