March 5, 201214 yr That is how I purchased my dlc. Straight up CC payment, no points needed...Ah good to hear, as I will be purchasing the Hawaii expansion next, and probably grab the Maule as well... Don B

March 5, 201214 yr I will eventually pull the trigger on the rest of Hawaii, I just want a plane that goes a bit faster first. The RV-6 does not really interest me much, I don't care for very light or sport aircraft. I would really like to see some sort of twin Cessna or Piper as well as a corporate jet, a CJ1 or Beechjet would be fine.Faster? I had the RV-6 to 345kts!Well, it was in a near vertical dive from 14,000' after checking out the Mauna Loa caldera.

March 5, 201214 yr Compared to FSX, as far as a simulator is concerned, I wasn't too impressed, unfortunately, maybe the comparison is unfair. Feels more like an arcade style sim. I did a first impressions review in the link in my signature if anyone is interested in reading/seeing some video. March 5, 201214 yr The expansion pack and RV6 is great. The self shadowing both internal and external adds a huge amount of immersion to this sim.The atmospherics are a huge step up from default FsX, but the clouds could certainly do with a REX makeover. All in all a great start.Well done Flight dev team. Keep the DLC coming. March 5, 201214 yr Aye, they accept Credit/debit cards also. I do see this as a step in the right direction for flight sims. I must admit, I didn't really enjoy the long hauls in earlier flight sims. I am more of a bush flyer. Horses for courses I think. For me this is perfect for the short haul and will be better when there are more dlc's available. If you want to fly an airliner, stick with FSX because if we have jets on this game, we will be off the map before we know it.
March 5, 201214 yr I don't agree with the either/or mentallity about Microsoft Flight being a simulator or game.Just because it is dominant in gameplay elements and is marketed as a game, doesn't mean that it cannot also be a simulation. Maybe it's semantics here - it's easy to get into a debate on what constitutes a simulation. Ultimately, I'll hazard a guess that over time more hardcore simmers will start to see the simulator in Microsoft Flight.I had flown only 30 or so hours in a Piper Warrior in real life, but if I recall those flying days correctly, Microsoft Flight's light airplane handling charateristics seem heaps more genuine than any of FSX defaults (I only have PMDG jet addons so I admit I can't say much about quality piston addons for FSX). In any case, if you haven't flown a certain type of aircraft in real life, you can't really make a sound judgement on that same aircraft in a simulator.Of course, the lack of proper customizability (of weather for example), might end up making Microsoft Flight much less viable as a simulator. Well, I still have my hopes up as Microsoft develops this over time! :-) Edited March 5, 201214 yr by PlaneHacker
