March 6, 201214 yr Hello,I have a problem. Sunday morning I downloaded the SP1c, or at least I tried so. While I was downloading I got a bluescreen. Since then I'm getting bluescreens everytime I'm running firefox. (For example when browsing this forum I get it after a few minutes. When going on facebook immediatly). I did not change anything or made any update from saturday to sunday, so I have no idea what could cause my problem exept for visiting this forum and downloading the SP1c.I'm not sure if this problem is really related to the NGX, but since it appears since I downloaded the SP1c I think it might be possible.I can use the Internet Explorer not, but I want my firefox back because it is a far better browser.Reinstalling Firefox did not help. I've also tried to reset my system to the status of saturday because everything worked back then. Resetting it did not work at all (my antivirus seems to block it, even though I've already deleted it from my system. But still I get an error saying that my antivirus blocks the reset.).I also tried to download a newer Beta of firefox for x64 system. But that didn't work either.I also got a bluescreen with my internet explorer, but that might only be bad timing because it did not happen again with the internet explorer. What can I do to get it runnung again? I'm thankfull for any help.Emanuel Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!

March 6, 201214 yr Turn off hardware accel in Firefox. If you are viewing anything in Flash, switch hardware accel off there too.To be honest, I removed firefox from all my machines (Linux included) because it's getting too resource hungry.Chrome (or Chromium) is the way to go (Sorry FF). I forget, with the PC, Photoshop or MSFS.Have you seen any problems? So far I have not had any problems with Win7-64 and FireFox .. or anything else. March 6, 201214 yr It's more that it's resources on the graphic's card, which can cause it to stop responding.Running taskmgr might show memory usage, but may not point to the correct problem.I suggest disableing all Firefox Add-ons in case this is the cause.Too many addons are not signed by FF,and can cause security issues Jude BradleyBeech Baron: Uh, Tower, verify you want me to taxi in front of the 747?ATC: Yeah, it's OK. March 6, 201214 yr Author I already disabled all my addons, but the problem is still there. Turn off hardware accel in Firefox. If you are viewing anything in Flash, switch hardware accel off there too.How and where do I do that? Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
March 6, 201214 yr Dear all, as Rayn mentioned above it can be a font problem. I also see someone having this problem for over a year untill he found out that his ad blocker (ad muncher) caused the problem. On a dutch site I see the advise to update your videocard driver since firefox uses the videocard to accelerate the image. And also ofcourse the advise to do a total de-install and download the latest version from the official firefox site. Hope this may help you?Kind regards,Mark Carrick

March 6, 201214 yr Commercial Member There is absolutely *no way* the NGX can cause any issue with a web browser, let alone a BSOD. BSODs (especially in a super stable OS like Win7) usually indicate hardware trouble or driver issues. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
